Climb Mount Toubkal on a 4-Day trek via the Imlil valley. Explore the Toubkal Massif and acclimatise yourself by through the Tizi Mzik pass, before beginning your ascent of the highest peak in Northern Africa.

On the first day, after being picked up from your hotel in Marrakech at 8:30 AM, drive towards Imlil valley where you will be met by a local guide. Check in at a guesthouse before your set off on an acclimatising hike to Tizi Mzik pass Stop for lunch prepared by a cook then walk back down to your lodge in Imlil for an overnight stay.

After breakfast, hike along the Mizane Valley towards the village of Aremd. Continue east and cross the floodplain along mule tracks and up into the high rocky cliffs above the valley. Cross the river until you eventually come to the pastoral shrine of Sidi Chamarouch. The village sits beside a small waterfall and a jumbled cluster of houses. From here the trail continues to climb steadily, snaking and zigzagging its way up to the Toukbal Refuge for your stop for the night.

On day 3, after an early breakfast, climb to the summit of Jebel Toukbal, the highest peak in Northern Africa. The walking is relatively straightforward, but the scree and the altitude will make the going quite difficult in parts. When you reach the plateau and the summit, take in the breathtaking unrestricted vistas across the Marrakesh Plain, the High Atlas Mountains in the North, and the Sahara in the South. Return down the mountain to base-camp for lunch and an overnight stay. On the last day, walk back down to Imil and stop for lunch at the lodge before you transfer back to Marrakech.
