After the pickup we start our trip in the direction of Ounara. In Chichaoua we have a coffee brake.
If you like we can visit a carpet cooperation in Sidi Mokhtar after Chichaoua where Berber women make beautiful carpets.
During de rest of the trip we will see a lot of Argan trees and 'goats in the trees' and we'll visit an Argan-oil cooperation where women make Argan-oil. And of course we visit the Vineyard of Val d'Argan.
There you can enjoy a wine tasting lunch (included in the price) with of course the famous wines from Val d'Argan.
It will be a excellent Moroccan lunch in the garden or the restaurant.
At the end of the lunch we can go back or make a short stop in Essaouira 20 kilometers further.

During the trip to and from Ounara we have plenty of time to enjoy the beautiful scenery. A coffee break en route in Chichaoua usually works well.
Watching how Berber women make the beautiful Berber carpets is more than interesting.
And then along the way the entire collection of millions of Argan trees with here and there goats in the trees is also fantastic to see. While driving we will tell you about the interesting Argan trees ....

In Chichaoua, about 80 minutes from Marrakech, we can stop for a coffee brake/ toilet brake.
After about 20 minutes we continue our trip and pass Sidi Mokhtar, a very poor village where we can visit a place with about 10.000 carpets.

Along the way we pass the town of Ounara or Ounagha where the vinyard Val d'Argan is located. Here you can use a delicious lunch combined with a wine tasting. You can also buy many types of wine, organic and normal, in all price ranges. The owner of the winery originally comes from Chateauneuf du Pape in France that he left some 35 years ago to start a new life in Morocco. He started poor with a very small vineyard, now he has a very big vineyard with a big variety of grapes, but he is still poor, he always tells.

On the way to Essaouira you see many Argan trees in which goats sometimes climb to eat Argan fruits. There are also many Argan cooperatives on this route where Berber women process the dried Argan fruits to extract oil from them. They can make many products from Argan oil for both consumption and cosmetic purposes. Examples are Argan face oil and cream, Argan oil for in the lettuce and Amlou, a kind of peanut butter with Argan oil and honey.
At Afous you can also get the famous fig-cactus oil, the most expensive and most powerful oil in the world, specially meant to treat wrinkles and pigmentation.
