The welcoming Berber villages of Erfoud and Rissani will be our last stops before arriving at Merzouga to visit some fossil craft workshops. The traditional uncovered market is also part of our last stops, where hooded men and women are bargaining and trading their goods in mythical conversations as they used to do centuries ago. Upon our arrival to the edge of the Erg Chebbi dune line, we will meet the welcoming staff of our hotel. They will serve us relaxing mint tea. After a break, we will have an opportunity to winder in the surrounding sand dunes. Overnight in our cozy relaxing hotel in Merzouga.

We will have lunch In Tinghir and Todra gorges; we will discover the highest, narrowest gorges in Morocco. After lunch in the heart of the gorges, we will proceed to the Rose’s valley where we will see the majestic sand castles and the amazing rock formations known as “monkey toes”. These castles inspired Jimmy Hendrix during his trip to Morocco in the 60s; he wrote, “Castle Made of Sand”. We will stop at Kalaa M’gouna in the Roses Valley to purchase the rosewater and appreciate the heavenly like atmosphere in the region. Then we will continue to the famous Ait Ben Haddou Kasbah, the largest Kasbah in Morocco. Et Hami El Glaoui, the founder of this Kasbah, was one of the last Berber chieftains during the 19th century.
