14-Day Annapurna Base Camp Trek in Kathmandu

Annapurna Base Camp Trek is the most popular classical trekking package in Annapurna Region. Annapurna Base Camp Trek is known as Annapurna Sanctuary Trek. Annapurna Base Camp Trek is the combines some of the spectacular mountain scenery with fascinating insight into the life of middle hill Nepal’s.    The best time of Annapurna Sanctuary Trek is during the main seasons of Spring & Autumn but since the rout is not a circuit the trail and teahouses can become crowded at these times. Winter trekking in Annapurna is possible but at any time trekkers must have beware of snowfall and avalanches that can block the narrow entrance to the sanctuary.

Annapurna Base Camp Trek is usually started and ended in Pokhara but it can also part of Annapurna Circuit Trek or Jomsom Muktinath Trek by trekking from Tatopani through Ghorepani and Tadapani and joining in Chomrong. We suggest spend one full day in inside the Sanctuary.

Day01: Arrival.

Meet by our Himalayan Asia representative in airport and transfer to the hotel. You can walk in evening in Thamel (tourist hub of Kathmandu). Overnight in Kathmandu.

Day 2:Trek preparation and Half day sightseeing in Kathmandu.

In the morning after breakfast, we introduced your trek guide / leader. It will provide an opportunity to know your guide/leader and can ask questions about treks.

Day 3:Drive from Kathmandu to Pokhara (820m- 7 hrs) Ahead to Pokhara in the morning.

When pass through the Prithivi Highway there are interesting scenery of the mountains, Rivers, waterfalls and jungle as well as farm terraces and villages.

Day 4:Drive to Nayapul and trek to Tikhedhunga (1,540m - 5 hrs) .

After taking breakfast, short drive to Nayapul and start trek. We pass through old villages and meandering green hills and terraced paddy fields along the neighboring .

Day 5:Trek to Ghorepani (3,194m - 7 hrs) .

After taking breakfast, we step down towards Ulleri which has amazing landscape with the valley. We can get opportunities to interact with the locals and learn.

Day 6:Ghorepani hike early morning to Poon hill (View point)(1hrs), trek down to Ghorepani and trek to Tadapani (6hrs).

Day 7:Trek to Chhomrong (1900m - 7 hrs).

After taking breakfast, we walk through forest and river to cross suspension bridge and walk step up. 

Day 8 :Trek to Deurali (3,230m - 6 hrs).

After taking breakfast, we start trek through the forest. We reach Dovan from Chhomrong through Sinuwa and bamboo. 

Day 9: Trek to Annapurna Base Camp (4,130m - 5 hrs).

After taking breakfast, we start out to walk straight up then reach to Machhapuchhre base camp(MBC). From MBC, we trek straight up trail which lead to ABC. During the trek from Himalaya to ABC there might be some Avalanches, so you must be aware of that while walking.

Day 10:Trek to Bamboo. (2,340m - 6 hrs).

Today, we wake up early morning with the glimpse of the sunrise over at Mt Annapurna I. After taking breakfast, we step back down through Deurali and downhill through the forest. Overnight in Bamboo.

Day 11:Trek to Jhinu (1,780m - 5 hrs) .

After taking breakfast, the trail leads uphill through the stone steep to the ridge and an easy walk to Sinuwa. Then the trail drops down to the bottom of the hill and continue climb up to Chhomrong.

Day 12:Jhinu to Pokhara.

After taking breakfast, our trek begins through few ups and downs to the bottom Nayapul. After reaching at Nayapul, our treks end and drive to Pokhara.

Day 13 :Drive/ fly from Pokhara to Kathmandu.

After taking breakfast we start our journey towards Kathmandu by flight or bus.

Day 14:Departure.

After taking breakfast, our representative come in hotel and transfer to airport.
