3-Day Chisapani Nagarkot Trek from Kathmandu

The adventurous trek of 3 days, 2 nights, beginning from Kathmandu lets you drive to Sundarijal where you enjoy the pristine waterfall, followed by a fun-filled trek to Chisapani. Later, the trek to Nagarkot provides you with a picturesque view of the charming appearance of the Jugal and Langtang ranges.

The trek involves the highest altitude of 2,175 m, Nagarkot. With the existence of gentle terrain and well-made trail, the difficulty level of the trek is easy.

Itinerary

Day 1: DRIVE FROM KATHMANDU TO SUNDARI JAL THEN START WALKING

Stop At: Sundarijal, Nepal
After breakfast at the hotel, we take the private car and it takes about 1hour and 45 minutes drive.

Start this trek from the northeastern of Kathmandu place called Sundari Jal which means beautiful water. The first stretch of the trek is uphill walk through the rhododendron forest of the Shivapuri National park.

After 4-5 hrs of a walk, we reach the spectacular Mountain Viewpoint of Chisapani from where we can have a close view of the Eastern Himalayas from Langtang to Gaurishankar Ranges.

Day 2: TREK FROM CHISAPANI TO NAGARKOT

Stop At: Nagarkot, Nagarkot, Bagmati Zone, Central Region
On the second day, we walk past some ethnic villages and mostly through a dense and beautiful forest, listing the birds chirping and enjoying the view of the Himalayas. In the winter months we sometimes even meet wild fowls and sometimes even deers.

After a few hours of Jungle walks, we follow the village and sweet smile of villagers. We get lots lot of opportunity to see the old typical houses from ethnic people who are living there for a long time. On the same time, we can see the farm how they cultivate their crops in their own way.

After lunch in some village, we continue to Nagarkot, which is another famous Mountain Viewpoint on Kathmandu valley.

In the evening, we walk 45 minutes to the tower to see the sunset.

Day 3: SUNRISE IN NAGARKOT & VISIT BHAKTAPUR

Stop At: Bhaktapur, Bhaktapur, Kathmandu Valley, Bagmati Zone, Central Region
Wake up early in the morning to see the spectacular sunrise view from the room.

After breakfast, we drive back to Kathmandu, where on the way we see the Bhaktapur Durbar Square which is a historical place and world heritage site.

This is the time when we come to the end of the adventurous trip.
