It’s also full of lodges, souvenir shops, and hiker-oriented restaurants and bars. Namche Bazaar is now an essential stopping point on hikes in the Everest (Khumbu) region. As it’s located at 11,286 feet (3,440 meters), hikers and climbers stop at Namche to acclimatize before heading higher into the mountains.

Itinerary

Day 1: Arrival in Kathmandu.Orientation program.

Stop At: Thamel, Kathmandu 44600 Nepal
Upon the arrival in Kathmandu, meet the Himalayan Smile representative who will assist you transfer to the hotel. Drive 15 min to Thamel, the touristic hub of Kathmandu. Check-in to the hotel along with welcome drinks. Take some time to refresh and visit our office at seven corner streets, Thamel. Meet our managing director, Mr. Subedi and negotiate about the tour programs. At evening, stroll around the Thamel. Overnight at the hotel.

Day 2: Fly Kathmandu to Lukla.Trek to Phakding.

Stop At: Lukla, Lukla, Sagarmatha Zone, Eastern Region
Drive to domestic airport. Fly 45m to Lukla airport (2800m). Have a tea break and start the trek.
Duration: 45 minutes

Stop At: Phakding, Phakding, Khumbu, Sagarmatha Zone, Eastern Region
Descends down the forest to Chauri Kharka. The trail cross a stream make a detour around a large mani stone, steeply descends to the Thoro Kosi. Trail climb and contour to Ghat (2590 m). The trail pass painted Mani stones and climb a bit above the river nearby Phakding. Overnight at mountain lodge.

Day 3: Trek Phakding to Namche Bazaar.

Stop At: Namche Bazaar, Namche Bazaar, Khumbu, Sagarmatha Zone, Eastern Region
The trail gradually up to the Toktok village nice view of waterfall with the excellent view of east Thamserku (6608 m) traverse above the streams to Benkar (2710 m). From Monjo (2840 m) trail steeply descends to the Jorsalle (2830 m). Trail steeply climb through the pine forest can view Mount Everest (88848 m) to the Namche Bazaar. Overnight at mountain lodge.

Day 4: Extra day in Namche Bazar.

Stop At: Syanboche 33100, Nepal
Today you will do day hiking to the Shyangbonche (3850 m). From Namche steeply climb to the Shyangboche airstrip (3790m). From here 30 minutes ascends to the top ridge where can view renown world highest mountain including Mount Everest (8848m).
Duration: 6 hours

Stop At: Khumjung, Khumjung, Eastern Region
Visit Khumjung village (3780m). Lunch. Hike back to Namche Bazaar. Overnight at mountain lodge.

Day 5: Trek to Lukla

Stop At: Lukla, Lukla, Sagarmatha Zone, Eastern Region
After having breakfast you will be a trek back to Lukla which contains approximately 8 hours walk. The trail descends through the rhododendron and pine forest to the Jorsalle. You will be staying at Mountain lodge in Lukla. On the way to Lukla, you will enjoy the vegetation, natural beauty, glaciers, rivers, and different animals of the Himalayan region. Overnight at mountain lodge.

Day 6: Fly back to Kathmandu

Stop At: Kathmandu, Kathmandu, Kathmandu Valley, Bagmati Zone, Central Region
Have an early breakfast in Lukla Mountain Lodge. From Lodge, you will 5 minutes’ walk to the LuklaTenzing–Hillary Airport. You will check in approximately one hour earlier before departure. You will arrive in Kathmandu domestic airport. Transfer to your hotel.

Afternoon shopping. Walk around the Thamel. Overnight at Kathmandu hotel.

Day 7: Final Departure

Today is your final day in Nepal. You can do final hour of shopping at the streets of Thamel. Preparation of luggage and check out the hotel. Wait for the Himalayan Smile representative to transfer you to the airport.
