Itinerary

Day 1: Drive to Nagarkot, hike via Jhule to Haibung

Stop At: Nagarkot View point tower, Nagarkot Nepal
There are two road options; one via Sankhu and another via Bhaktapur driving to Nagarkot (2125m), about 30 km from Kathmandu. It takes about 1.5 hours drive to Nagarkot. The road leaves the valley after about 10 km. and climbs up on zigzag road through scattered hill side villages and farms. Once over the ridge, the Himalayan view to the North East opens up majestically above numerous photogenic foothills rising from Indravati river valley.
- Hiking via Jhule to Prakriti, Haibung

Hiking trail is along the ridge going down to Jarsinghpawa (1790m.) via Katike. You can enjoy Himalayan mountain view on the right and Bhaktapur and Kathmandu valley on the left side. After about 20 minutes walk on rough road to Patibhanjyang small village, you will turn left towards Shivapuri national park. The trail climbs up to Jhule (2175m) and levels through national park forest and drops down to Hilebhanjyang (2050m). Another 15 minutes walk takes you to the beautiful resort farm village, Prakriti for refreshing comfortable stay for the night. Hiking trail is about 16 Km total.

Duration: Driving ~ 1.5 hours + Hiking ~ 5.5 hours.

Overnight, Haibung

Duration: 6 hours

Day 2: Nature Walk & Farm Visit:

Stop At: Shivpuri Nagarjun National Park, 44600, Nepal
- Pre Lunch; Jungle walk and Dhap Tal (lake) visit

Sunrise view even from your bed rooms is memorably fascinating.

After breakfast, you will take a short walk, ~ 20 min. to Dhap Pokhari (lake) for lake side nature walk.

Around the lake side on the weekdays is naturally perfect place for meditation or those interested to longer hiking, can go higher to Chisapani top (2215m.).
- Post Lunch; Visit; village agro farm, Everest tea garden, Trout fish farm and Gurung traditional village.

Duration: Hiking ~ 5 hours.

Overnight, Haibung

Duration: 5 hours

Day 3: Nagmati river, Mulkharka village, Sundarijal

Stop At: Shivpuri Nagarjun National Park, 44600, Nepal
Hiking back;
- After breakfast, Hiking along Nagmati river, Mulkharka village and Sundarijal

Transfer back to Kathmandu

A short walk up to Hile Bhanjyang (2050m) junction where the road branches out rightwards to Chispani and leftwards to Sundarijal. Walking trail goes straight gradually down through jungle for about 15 minutes then levels along Nagmati small river. Walking through jungle along this Nagmati river is very refreshing experience. It is very nice to see small brooklets and natural spring clean water running into the river while walking about 1.5 hours before reaching Mulkharka Tamang village (1850m). Then trail goes through the village dropping down on numerous well built steps to a small water dam and then further down along Bagmati river to Sundarijal small town (1375m). Here waits a car for you to transfer back to Kathmandu by road about 14 Km.
