CAVES IN NEPAL trip takes you to the Sky Caves followed by the deepest Gorge of the world. Caving in Nepal’s cave is not an easy task, we can call it as the next level of adventurous we see because there exist varieties of caves and they might take some extra necessary skills for the process and involvement. This trip consist about the most famous caves of Nepal i.e. Siddha Cave- A largest cave in Nepal, Gupteshwor Cave, Mahendra Cave, Chamero Cave & Sky Cave- Wonders among the world’s cave.

Itinerary

Day 1: Arrival

Stop At: Tribhuvan International Airport, Ring Rd, काठमाडौँ 44600, Nepal
Upon arrival at Tribhuwan International Airport (TIA), meet our office tour representative who will meet, assist, greet and drop you to the airport. Enjoy welcome drinks during arrival of the guests.

Later enjoy sightseeing tour of Kathmandu durbar square on its stone paved lanes. Visit includes Kumari Trmple, Kastamandap, Taleju Temple, Kal Bhairaba and many other temples doted inside durbar square area. Later, visit Swoyambhunath Stupa located at the hilltop of Kathmandu Valley from where you can have a clear aerial view of Kathmandu valley.

Evening is free to stroll around Thamel market.

Day 2: Drive to Bandipur via Siddha Cave

Stop At: Siddha Gufa (Cave) Bimal Nagar, Bimal Nagar, Prithvi Hwy, Bandipur, Nepal
Early morning after breakfast, drive to Bandipur which is Nearly 150 Kms. At 437m deep and 50m high, Siddha Gufa is said to be the largest cave in Nepal. Its cathedral-like interior is full of stalactites and stalagmites, not to mention hundreds of bats, which whistle overhead.

Later drive to Bandipur, one of the ancient Newari culture Village.

Day 3: Drive to Pokhara, Visit to the Caves

Stop At: Gupteshwor Mahadev Cave, Pokhara 33700, Nepal
After breakfast, drive to Pokhara. A city on Phewa Lake, in central Nepal. It’s known as a gateway to the Annapurna Circuit, a popular trail in the Himalayas. Upon arrival, check in to hotel. Later enjoy sightseeing tour of Gupteshwor Cave & Davis Falls.

Stop At: Mahendra Cave, Pokhara Nepal
Mahendra Gufa (Cave) Visit
Duration: 2 hours

Stop At: Bat Cave, Pokhara Nepal
Chamero (Bat) Cave visit
Duration: 2 hours

Day 4: Drive to Kagbeni (10 Hrs Adventurous Drive)

Stop At: Kagbeni Temple, Kagbeni 33100, Nepal
Early morning, drive to Kagbeni. This trails takes you through the adventurous off road ride for aprox. 100 Kms. On the way visit to the world deepest Gorge (Dana) Located at Myadgi and Hot Spring Water.

Day 5: Drive to Lo Manthang(Upper Mustang)

Stop At: Lo Manthang Village, Lo Manthang 33100, Nepal
Enjoy your breakfast early in the morning and drive towards Upper Mustang. Upper Mustang was opened to non-Nepali trekkers only some fifteen years ago and even today, access is still highly restricted. Here you will experience the way of life of true mountain people, who were not much in touch with the rest of Nepal for hundreds of years, and even until recent times had an officially recognized king.

Day 6: Explore the Sky Caves - Chhoser

Stop At: Lo Manthang Village, Lo Manthang 33100, Nepal
After breakfast, explore Sky Cave. There are more than 10,000 caves built by humans present here. Their stories encompass more than 20,000 years of Mustang’s history. The tales of these caves first being used as burial chambers, around 1000 BC. Still here the sky burial is practices. Around the 10th century, due to the flourishing salt trade and Mustang’s favorable location on the trade routes, looting and attacks became rampant, making it very unsafe to live in the region. That’s when the locals created these elaborate mountain colonies, which not only became a safe place to live, but also helped them keep warm during the harsh and unforgiving Himalayan winters.

These mountain villages were multi-level with many passages connecting rooms on each of the levels, some of these levels accommodating up to 15 rooms. These rooms were used as sleeping spaces, kitchens and granaries.

Day 7: Drive back to Jomsom

Pass By: Jomsom Bazaar, Beni Jomsom Sadak, Jomsom 33100, Nepal
After breakfast, drive back to Jomsom. A unique village to the mountains. The layout of the villages and the design of the houses are unique to this area. The houses are designed to protect the inhabitants from the strong winds that blow up the valley every day from the late morning onwards.

Upon arrival, transfer to hotel.

Day 8: Fly back to Pokhara and then to Kathmandu

After breakfast, fly back to Pokhara and connect your flight to Kathmandu. Upon arrival at Kathmandu, meet our representative and transfer to hotel. Evening enjoy farewell dinner at Local cultural restaurant.

Day 9: Departure
