Mardi Himal Trekking Nepal - A 5D4N Guided Experience

The short Mardi Himal trek has mountain views, charming villages, and lush forest. The short and sweet loop trail lies in the eastern part of the Annapurna region. Enjoy the spectacular views of Mardi Himal 5587 meters (918,330 ft).
After a short drive from Pokhara, the journey begins.

Visit Mardi Himal, Macchapucchre (6993 meters), Hiunchuli (6441 meters), Baraha Shikhar (7647 meters), Singu Chuli (6501 meters) Annapurna I (8090 meters), and Annapurna South (7219 meters).
Enjoy the views of Pothana Village, Rest Camp, Badal Danda, Mardi High Camp, and Siding village.
Note- You need to carry a Warm jacket, windproof jacket, Long-sleeved synthetic fleece, comfortable hiking trousers, 2 pairs of warm wool-blend socks, hiking boots, running shoes and an extra pair of clothes.

Itinerary

Day 1: Drive to Phedi from Pokhara

Stop At: Pothana, Dhampus 33700, Nepal
Get ready to start the day of the trek to Mardi Himal after breakfast. The day starts with a short 30 min drive to Phedi. Only after about four hours of walk, you reach Pothana to stay overnight. You will be walking via Dhampus village, which is at 1,650m (5,414 ft).

Day 2: Pothana Trek to Forest Camp via Deurali

Stop At: Deurali 33700, Nepal
Start 2nd day at Pothana Trek to Forest Camp (2,600 m) 8,531 ft via Deurali (2,100 m) 6890 ft. This trek will take 5-6 hours. Your day will start quite early because of the sunrise and panoramic mountains view from the viewpoint. A short 15-20 min walk to see the sunrise. After breakfast at Pothana, head straight to the next destination Forest camp passing through the beautiful green forest.

Day 3: Forest Camp Trek to High Camp

Stop At: Mardi Himal, Chame Nepal
Your day will start at around 7.30 am and enjoy breakfast. If you will stay at the Forest camp maybe you won't see the mountains but can see the sunrise. From Low camp, you can see the Fishtail mountain and you can have a short break here. Take a walk to Badal Danda (could hill) after the break and this is the place where you are going to stop for lunch. You can see the beautiful mountain view including Annapurna south, Heuchuli, and Fishtail from here. From Badal Danda to High camp is about one and a half-hour but the landscapes are just amazing and you will be surprised with the Mardi Himal trek trail.

Day 4: Trek to the Mardi Himal base camp

Stop At: Mardi Himal, Chame Nepal
Walk early to the Mardi Himal viewpoint (4,200 m) 13,780 ft to see beautiful sunrise and Mountains. The trail to Mardi viewpoint is well established but also in the dark need to be careful and follow the guide instructions. Enjoy the morning sunrise view at the upper viewpoint and then hike back to High Camp. Enjoy the breakfast at the High Camp. After breakfast, we will trek back to the Badal Danda, is another best viewpoint on these trails so enjoy the evening watching Yaks, sheep’s gazing around. Enjoy the sunset view from here.

Day 5: Drive back to the Pokhara

Stop At: Pokhara, Pokhara, Gandaki Zone, Western Region
After breakfast, for 2-3 hours walk down to the siding village via Low Camp. Descending all the way down to the Siding, after lunch at siding drive back to Pokhara and your tour ends here.
