Tiji festival Trek-2020 (Upper Mustang) with Local guide

Tiji is a common name for Tenpa Chirim (bstan pa spyi rim). It is one of the most popular Himalayan festival and it also an awaited season for hundreds of spectators from every corner of the world. It is celebrated annually in the ancient walled city of Lo Manthang. The religious festival was introduced during the time of Ama Pal (first king of Lo), the independent ruler of Lo and Ngorchen Dorje Chang, the exalted being who brought Buddhism to Mustang.
According to the English calendar festival is held between ends of April and starting of May. Date for Tiji Festival 2020 is already announced. The Tiji festival will be celebrate 5th, 6th and 7th May 2020 in Upper Mustang.

Itinerary
Day 1: Kathmandu Sightseeing and Trek preparation
Stop At: Boudhanath Stupa, Boudh, Kathmandu 44600 Nepal
Boudha stupa is the largest stupa in Nepal and somehow in the whole world. The stupa is decorated with golden polish on the harmika and the white dome constructed on the mandala shape of the base and small mani wheel surround it. The stupa is the center of the Buddhist followers but non-Buddhist also worship this sites because in Nepal people respect to each other religion. You will see people from the Himalayas of Nepal and the Tibetan people making circumambulate to the huge stupa.

Stop At: Patan Durbar Square, Patan (Lalitpur) 44700 Nepal
Patan Durbar Square exhibits the fine wood and metal art and craft on the struts, windows and the doors of the palaces. There are beautiful courtyards in the palace peripheral where you will see a fine art and architecture of typical Nepalese Artist. The Patan museum inside the palace is the finest and the well-managed collection of wooden and metal art where you will also observe the detail procedure of making metal statues in the museum. The palace frontier is filled with different styles of temples structures. Due to the fine art and architecture which fills the Patan city, it is also known as Lalitpur (The city of Beauty)

The myth of Swayambhu is closely related with the origin of Kathmandu valley and it is also the oldest religious sites in the valleys. Swayambhu stupa is famous among the Newari Buddhist but the sites are center for all the Buddhist and Hindu people of the valley. There is a long stair from the eastern side of the stupa which is said to be 365 steps and was built by King Pratap Malla who was the famous king of Kathmandu. You will have a spectacular view of Kathmandu valley from the hilltop of Swayambhu stupa.

Day 2: Kathmandu drive to Pokhara
Stop At: Pokhara, Pokhara, Gandaki Zone, Western Region
Today we will drive to Pokhara by tourist bus in the morning and it will take 6-7 hours to reach our destination

Day 3: Pokhara fly to Jomsom and Trek to Lubrak village.
Stop At: Lupra, 33100, Nepal
Experience the local life of Lupra village and visit Bon Monastery.

Day 4: Drive to Sangmochen by jeep and visit Chungshi Rangjung gompa
Stop At: Mustang Region, Mustang Region, Dhaulagiri Zone, Western Region
today we will drive to Sangmochen village and have lunch there. After our lunch we will hike to Chungshi Monastery and stay at tea hopuse in Sangmochen

Day 5: Drive to Drakmar 3450m
Stop At: Mustang Region, Mustang Region, Dhaulagiri Zone, Western Region
Today we will drive to Dhakmar from Snagmochen. After your breakfast we will start our drive and stop in ghiling village for Monastry visit. After we will cotinue our drive to Ghami for lunch stop. Before that jeep will stop on some view ponts to have great views.Tonight stay will be at Dhakmar village.

Day 6: Drive from Drakmar to Lo-Manthang 3840m
Stop At: Mustang Region, Mustang Region, Dhaulagiri Zone, Western Region
Same as regular day, we start our trip after the breakfast. Today we will visit the oldest buddhist monastry - Lo Gyakar Gompa. After we will drive through the Marang cillage and stop at Lo-Manthang. In the afternoon we will visit three main monasteries of Lo-Manthang namely Chode, Jampa and Thukchen Monastery.

Day 7: First day observe Teji Festival

Today around 8 am in the morning you will drive to chosar and visit some caves and monasteries. After you will have lunch in Lo-Manthang and Start the first day festival. it will last till 5 pm.

Day 8: Second day Tiji festival

Today we will hike to Tiri Khejo hill, 1st palace of 1st Lo king Ama Pal.We will have a lunch in same hotel of Lo- Manthang. After Lunch you will go to the coutyard of Palace to watch the second day Tiji Monk mask Dance.

Day 9: Tiji third day

today early morning around 6 am we will go to Thukchen monastery to see how the monk chant in the morning. After you will have breakfast. and start a short drive to Nomadic place of Yak. Return back to hotel for lunch and watch the last day of Tiji festival.

Day 10: Drive to Yara and Visit Luri Gompa.

Today we will drive to Yara village of eastern Upper Mustang. You will enjoy the fantastic landscape and the flowing of Kali Gandaki river. We Drive next to the river and reach Yara village. After oour lunch we will visit Luri Gompa, an amazing monatery.

Day 11: Drive to Jomsom and visit Monastery at Charang and Walk around Kagbeni old town

Today we will have breakfast in yara and then continue our drive to charang village for monastery visit and drive to jomsom.
