This 26-day tour of the North Island and part of the South Island of New Zealand will give you a close-up view of beautiful scenery ranging from rain forests, pasture land, white sandy beaches, rocky coast lines to rugged mountain ranges.

Picking up your bike and leaving Auckland you will ride through the rich farm land of the central North Island, visiting the geothermal volcanic center of the island, along beautiful sweeping coastal roads, through old growth forests, and rugged hill country. While enjoying gentle sweeping corners mixed with twisty back roads. ​ You will experience the rugged mountains of the Southern Alps running the length of the Sth Island. 

This tour is suitable for Intermediate or Advanced riders.

Itinerary

Day 1: Arrive in Auckland

Stop At: Auckland i-SITE Visitor Information Centre - International Airport Terminal, Arrivals Hall, International Terminal, Auckland Airport, Auckland Central, Auckland New Zealand
After being met at the airport, you will shuttle from the Airport to your hotel.

Day 2: Auckland to Taupo

Stop At: Huka Falls tracks, Huka Falls Road, Taupo New Zealand
Stop for a break and to enjoy the amazing falls. You will get some terrific photos of this majestic waterfall.

Day 3: Thermal wonderland to white sandy beaches

Day 5: Capital City stop over

Enjoy a walking tour of NZ's capital city if time allows.

Day 6: South Island Bound

Day 7: Rest Day in Nelson

Day 8: Gorge Riding

After crossing the Buller River on a swing bridge, enjoy a walk through the NZ bush, to see and hear the birds.

Day 9: Authurs Pass

Stop to watch the "Clowns of the Mountains". The native mountain parrots, the Kea will entertain you with their antics.

Day 10: Destination Queenstown

Day 21: Wild Gorge Riding

Day 22: Bay of Islands

Enjoy a night walk through a native Kauri forest to see and hear the night life of the New Zealand forest. You may even hear and see a Kiwi in the wild.
