For those who want to stretch their legs then take a base walk around our iconic Mount Maunganui an extinct volcano. An easy 50-minute stroll beside the Pacific ocean. The track is in good condition with opportunities for photos and amazing views of the offshore islands and coast. We continue with a drive through downtown Mt Maunganui and Main Surf Beach (voted best in New Zealand) Our next stop we visit a kiwifruit orchard (here we taste the green, gold, and new red kiwifruit). Passing through stunning scenery, lush farmland, lakes, waterfalls forests. We visit Hamurama Springs and the underground source of this pure clear as glass water. Returning to Tauranga Port traveling via the Old Scenic State Highway, we pass the southern end of Lake Rotorua before arriving at downtown Tauranga and returning you to your awaiting ship.

Kiwifruit and juice tasting. Green, Gold, new Red variety. See up close up how New Zealand Kiwifruit is grown. Experience the wonders of the kiwifruit industry on an idyllic working kiwifruit orchard. The 60 hectare 'Longridge Orchard' has over 30 canopy hectares of Zespri Green and Zespri Gold Kiwifruit. This is one of the larger kiwifruit properties in the Bay of Plenty.

Hamurana is famous for its beautiful crystal clear fresh water springs, that emanate from the ground and flows downstream into Lake Rotorua. The surrounding wildlife sanctuary plays host to many species of birds including black teal, scaup, herons and the endangered dabchick.
