This Rotorua Tour is designed for shore excursions from Tauranga. Clients can be picked up from local accommodation (within the Tauranga/Mt Maunganui/Papamoa area) &/or from the Port of Tauranga. We visit the Te Puia Maori Cultural Center for a welcome concert and tour through its extensive thermal grounds. The tour also covers a variety of different scenery en route and visits Kiwifruit Country and the Government Gardens. Pick up times can be adjusted to fit with cruise-ship arrival times

Pass By: Tauranga Tasting Tours, 14 Ridgemount Terrace Welcome Bay, Tauranga 3112 New Zealand

This is our home base. We travel to you to pick you up from your specified point

Stop At: Port of Tauranga Ltd, 2 Salisbury Avenue, Bay Of Plenty 3116, New Zealand

Our accredited agent driver/guide will meet you at the port gate & escort you to the vehicle in which you will be travelling. The driver/guide will have your name on a placard.

Duration: 15 minutes

Stop At: Te Puia, Hemo Road, Rotorua New Zealand

After proceeding to Te Puia, the Maori Cultural Centre, clients are given a personalised tour of the old pa site, through the thermal grounds (of boiling mud, geysers etc.) & shown the wood-carving school, flax-weaving & the kiwi bird. This is followed by a Maori Welcome onto the marae, before entering a meeting house for a performance by a Maori concert party.

Stop At: Eat Street, 1107-1111 Tutanekai Street, Rotorua 3010 New Zealand

On leaving Te Puia, we travel to Rotorua's CBD, where lunch is purchased (at client's cost) in Eat Street.. After lunch we travel along the lakefront, through the Government Gardens, stopping at the Rotorua Museum, the Historic Bath-house, to explain the background of this fine old building.



Duration: 1 hour 30 minutes

Stop At: Kiwifruit Country, 316 State Highway 33, Paengaroa 3189 New Zealand

We return to Tauranga via a different route, which provides clients with the opportunity to view different scenery.
En route we stop at Kiwifruit Country where the kiwifruit industry is explained, from planting through to the beautiful edible fruit.

Pass By: Mt Maunganui Main Beach, Marine Parade, Mount Maunganui, Tauranga New Zealand

To end the tour, we travel along our beautiful waterfront & beach, before returning to ship-side.
