Possibly the most photographed building in all of NZ. Here is where you will board the Silverfern Train. We will arrive with time to view the interior and exterior of the amazing building.

Here you will board the Silverfern Train for a spectacular coastal train ride. Pass through tunnels and enjoy grand vistas of the Otago Harbor and Pacific Ocean, as the train makes its way along Dunedin's northern coastline. Our passengers enjoy a complimentary drink and tuck into our local cheese boards onboard the train. We will be waiting for you when the train reaches its destination in the town of Waitati to continue the scenic journey to Moeraki.

Stop At: Moeraki Boulders, on Koekohe Beach, Moeraki New Zealand

The Moeraki Boulders are a real geological phenomenon. They are very large, unusually spherical boulders which can be found at mid to low tide on the beach. Our guide will take you on the short walk to find the boulders and explain a little about their scientific origin and also describe their meaning and place in Maori legend. We plan the tour around the best times to visit depending on the tide of the day. This means we are nearly always able to walk among the boulders without getting your feet wet! We will have time for a light lunch (*own cost) at the Moeraki Boulders Cafe before heading back to Dunedin City by road.
