Itinerary

Day 1: Colonial Leon, culture and adventure - Let's enter the spirit of colonial days and feel the thrill of Volcano boarding.

Stop At: Cerro Negro Volcano, Northeast Of Leon 25 km, Leon Nicaragua
After breakfast we will drive to Cerro Negro Volcano, and active and the youngest volcano in Nicaragua where we will board or just walk down. Feel the thrill of visiting and active volcano and board it down, this is considers a must-do activity by most of travelers.
Duration: 4 hours

Stop At: Leon, Leon, Leon Department
We will do a city walking tour in the city where I will talk about the nicknames of the city, colonial times, Sandinista revolution and more.

Duration: 3 hours

Stop At: Basilica Catedral de la Asuncion, Leon Nicaragua
We will explore the largest catedral of Central America, hike to its roof and have a panoramic view of the city. Let's learn about this impressive church discovering its mysteries.

Stop At: Museum of Legends and Traditions (Museo de Tradiciones y Leyendas), Across From Iglesia San Sebastion, Leon Nicaragua
We will visit the old prison "La 21" a place used for torturing political prisoners during the Sandinista revolution, Now a museum of legends and tradition in Leon. Learn about what my ancestors use to believe and how this legend and traditions had effect on them.

Day 2: Masaya Volcano and colonial Granada city - Let's visit the amazing crater of Masaya volcano and its pictoresque city

Stop At: Masaya Volcano National Park, Masaya Nicaragua
You will see a museum dedicated to understand the history of the volcano and Santiago crater, We will drive all the way to the crater. Learn the history of this impressive volcano.

Stop At: Masaya Crafts Market, Antiguo Mercado de Masaya, Masaya Nicaragua
A beautiful handicrafts market where you will have the chance to buy some souvenirs and discovers the colorful stuffs of Nicaragua in just one place.

Stop At: Mirador de Catarina, Catarina Nicaragua
Enjoy of this beautiful lookout of Apoyo lagoon meanwhile we have lunch. We will have a panoramic view of Apoyo Lagoon or enjoy of a short horse back riding in the area.
