Overnight: Somoto Canyon and Miraflor Natural Reserve from León

During this private tour you will discover two beauties in the north of Nicaragua: Miraflor Natural Reserve and its rural communities, which have created a cooperative and have focused on tourism as a way of local development, and Somoto Canyon, an incredible natural monument which was "discovered" less than a decade ago.

Day 1

Leaving from León at 7am we'll arrival at Somoto Canyon at 11am.

You will spend all the daylong having fun, discovering the canyon: you will walk along the first part of the river; have a short trip with a paddle boat up to the entry of the canyon.

Once here you'll go through the canyon using track tire as floating device and you will have a refresh bath in one of the natural pools, listening to the legends and adventures of the canyon told by local guides.

At approximately 3:30pm we will leaving from Somoto Canyon to Miraflor Natural Reserve arriving at around 6pm.

Time for dinner and rest.

Day 2

You will spend the day discovering Miraflor Natural Reserve, choosing among one of the several activities they organize.

We offer you one of the following tours: bird watching tour, participating in the process of the organic coffee production or an orchid watching tour.

In addition of these activities, you can have a walk through its "miradores" (viewpoints), waterfalls and its tropical forest.

In the afternoon we will invite you to horse ride to discover the best places of the Reserve.

Back to León at around 7pm.
