During this small group tour you will experience the magnificent arctic nature on its winter costume and weather. Mountains which are rising straight from the sea and peacefulness of the nature.

You are going to challenge yourself by snowshoeing up to the fell and learn how to cope on an arctic winter conditions. During the tour you have a chance to learn how to use a map and compass.How to keep yourself warm and safe, learn how the weather conditions are here in arctic, build a snow shelter for our lunch break and how to prepare the lunch outdoors with a gasoline kitchen. Learn how life is here in arctic and how and why the locals are spending their free time out in the nature.

For this tour, you do not need to have earlier experience from snowshoeing, you will learn that easily during the tour.

You have a local guide, whose heart is beating to the nature and outdoors and who has lived here in Norden whole her life. Now her goal is to bring this arctic outdoor charm closer to you.

Itinerary

After pick up we will drive to the starting point. Tour will take a place at Tromsø area, where are several magnificent places to discover. We start the tour by learning how to use snowshoes, which is really easy. Everybody can do it!

During the tour you have a chance to learn how to use a map and compass on a backcountry and orienteer to our destination, how to keep yourself warm, build a snow shelter for our lunch break and how to prepare the lunch outdoors with a gasoline kitchen. Tour group is hold small, so you have for sure chance to learn outdoor skills during this tour.

Duration of the tour is about 6-7 hours, including the transportation to the destination.
