Norwegian wildlife camping safari

Fulufjellet National Park is one of Europe's last wildernesses. Elk are common in the National Park but unlike other National Parks Fulufjellet is home to all four large predators found in Norway, Brown bears, Wolves, Lynx and wolverines. It is also home to a wide variety of birds species some not found or rare in the UK such as the Serbian jay, Hawk owls, Cappercaillie and Golden eagles just to name a few. Even though you will be camping you will still have home comforts such as camping beds, tents with toilet and shower and solar panel chargers for your mobile. This tour has a real wilderness isolation feel to it, it feels as though you have the National Park to yourself.

Itinerary

Day 1: Arrive in Norway

Stop At: Fulufjellet, Trysil Municipality, Norway
I will collect you at the airport or another prearranged location then we will go to Fullufjellet national park. Once there you can settle into camp life and I will give you a tour of the local area.

Day 2: The river

Stop At: Fulufjellet, Trysil Municipality, Norway
After breakfast we will head deeper into the National Park towards the river flowing through the Park during our walk the area is popular with capercaillie and sighting of bear activity. We will stop for lunch during the day and once we get back to camp we ill have time to relax and have dinner.

Day 3: the plateau

Stop At: Fulufjellet, Trysil Municipality, Norway
We will go for an early morning drive to see elk which is one of the best times to see them. Once we return to the camp you can rest and have breakfast. After breakfast we will walk up the plateau which will give you a great view of the National Park. We will have lunch in the National Park, once we return to the camp you will be able to relax and have dinner.

Day 4: National Park

Stop At: Fulufjellet, Trysil Municipality, Norway
After breakfast we will head deeper into the National Park to another part of the park looking for wildlife. We will stop for lunch in the Park and once we get back to camp you will have time to relax and have dinner. At night we will go for a night watch for wildlife such as Hawk Owls (not seen in the UK).

Day 5: Your day

Stop At: Fulufjellet, Trysil Municipality, Norway
After breakfast you will be able to do what you want you can either go on an added extra such as water rafting or horse ridding, go into a local Norwegian town or we can stay in the National Park doing more explorer. We will have lunch and once we return to camp you can relax and have dinner.

Day 6: Stream

Stop At: Fulufjellet, Trysil Municipality, Norway
As most people start to get tired on this day we will have a slower pace day. You will be able to sleep longer and once we have breakfast we will focus on the streams in the National Park looking for the wildlife that inhabit the streams and the area around it such as amphibians, Reptiles and mammals. We will stop for lunch and once we return to camp you can relax and have dinner.

Day 7: Leaving the National Park

After breakfast you can get yourself ready and I will take you to the airport or to another prearranged location.
