Our 5 day tour of Oman will tell you about this mysterious country! You will see an incredible waterfall, swim in crystal clear water, enjoy the desert dunes. Ancient houses and ruined watchtowers-all this will be shown and told by professional guides.

Itinerary

Day 1: Bimmah Sink Hole – Wadi Shab – Ras Al Hadd

Stop At: Al Hadd, Oman
Itinerary : Pick up 8.15 a.m. You will depart from Muscat to travel south towards the Quriyat Region. After travelling just a few kilometers you will find yourselves absorbed in an almost lunar world where unreal mountains dominate the view. You will continue to the mountainous landscape arriving at the dramatic Bimmah Sinkhole. Once you are refreshed you will continue travelling and arrive at Wadi Shab (Wadi meaning valley between cliffs). Upon arrival at Wadi Shab you will transfer to a small fishing boat to be taken across the wadi to enable you to start your journey. The word breathtaking hardly does it justice. You will walk through the amazing canyon, until you arrive at the wadi which leads to the Keyhole. Here you can relax; take a dip in the pools. You will have the opportunity to swim through a pool of crystal clear water and dive through a narrow keyhole, inside you will find a magnificent cave, complete with an incredible waterfall. Post will travel to the traditional city of ‘Sur’ and check in hotel. You will have time to relax at the hotel. You will a drive to Ras Al Jinz to see the turtles at around 9:00 pm. Whilst we are very successful in sighting turtles, there is no guarantees as it is a natural phenomenon. You will finish the tour at 11:00pm and travel back to the resort for an overnight. . Day 2: Sur – Wadi Bani Khalid – Wahiba Desert

Stop At: Wadi Bani Khalid, Road 23 apprx. 40 km from Bidiyyah Muscat-Sur Road, Muscat 113 Oman
Itinerary : After breakfast at the hotel, you will depart on an exciting 4wd journey through the mountains. Your first stop will be Wadi Bani Khalid, one of Oman’s most beautiful wadis. The wadi has clear deep blue water and counts among the few wadis of Oman that hold water all year round. From the mountain springs, the water is led to the oasis where it sustains the typical date palms. Post lunch you will travel to Wahiba Sands which is famous for its multicolored sand which varies from black to honey-golden and even to white. In the heart of the golden sands of Sharqiyah Desert nestled amongst stunning and ever changing patterns of dunes, is the Arabian Oryx Camp. The camp offers a luxurious Bedouin style air conditioned accommodation and a variety of complimentary toiletries. The location of the camp in the wilderness of the desert, emphasizes the beauty of the golden sand dunes surrounding it. You will be made to feel welcome with warmth and kindness of the Omani Hospitality. After an adrenaline fueled 4WD safari across 150-metre dunes and with a spectacular view of the sunset, you will be ready to experience the delicious Arabic Cuisine, splendor and live entertainment the camp has to offer. Whilst you sit around a camp fire under the starry sky, you will be able to look back over your day and appreciate the once in a life time experience. (Overnight at Arabian Oryx Camp)

Day 3: Bedouin Family – Ibra – Birkat Al Mauz – Nizwa

Stop At: Nizwa, Oman
After an early breakfast at the desert camp, you will depart on an exciting 4wd journey through the desert and visit the local Bedouin house and have Omani Coffee. You will enjoy their traditional ways of hospitality. Our next stop at Al Mudayrib and Ibra for a closer look at the watch towers proudly looking over the villages from top of the hills. Mountains surround Ibra on every side, and there is some outstanding mountain scenery close by. Our next stop will be Birkat al mauz. Which is located at the foot of Jebel Akhdar, an old village called Birkat Al Mauz. After an action packed day it will be time to travel to your 3* hotel in Nizwa for your over night stay. (Overnight at 3* Al Diyar Nizwa/Nizwa apartment)

Day 4: Nizwa Fort & Souq – Jabreen castle – Bahla fort – Bahla old city – Jebel shams

Stop At: Jebel Shams, Al Hamra Oman
Pick up time 8.30 a.m. After check out of your hotel . Your first stop will be at the spectacular Nizwa Fort with its massive Circular Cannon Tower, one of the most impressive forts in Oman. You will also visit the Nizwa traditional Souq. The Souq is a lively place and an ideal location to purchase handicrafts and souvenirs. After a little bartering in the Souq it will be time to begin the journey to Jabreen Castle. Post that proceed towards Bahla, one of the oldest small towns of Oman and in the 12th century the capital of the tribe living in the region. As the monumental fort is closed for renovation only a photo stop is planned. Bahla is also famous for its pottery.

After enjoying lunch your experience continues Continue your journey to the top of Jebel Shams, “Sun Mountain”, Oman’s highest peak at 3009 meters. The cooler temperatures will surprise as you reach the top to get a spectacular view of the “Grand Canyon”. Sleeping in high altitude will get you closer to the stars. Day 5: Canyon – Misfah old house – Hamra – Muscat

Stop At: Misfah Old House, Misfat Al Abryeen, Al Hamra, Al Ḩamrāʼ, 131, Misfat al Abriyyin، Oman
Itinerary : Pick up 8.30 a.m. You will depart your hotel and proceed towards, the highest point on this road. Misfat Al Abriyeen, set in a stunning landscape above terraced plantations of date palms. This is a rare sight in Oman as most palms are grown on the plains. The ancient houses and ruined watchtower perched on the mountain complete the scene. You will then proceed to Al Hamra, The oldest villages in Oman with clay houses dating back up to 400 years. After an impressive cultural day it will time to travel start heading towards Muscat and End the tour. Post that guide will drop you back at the airport/Hotel.
