We start with the visit to Salalah´s landmarks the Great Mosque and Palace al-Husn. You will also explore the traditional al-Haffa market - the best place to buy frankincense, perfumes and shawls. Then enjoy coconut drink in Salalah´s plantations and inspect the irrigation systems. Leave the city to discover the Jarzeez spring sourrounded by rock formations and caves. Next drive up to the Ittine heights for panoramic views on Salalah and Jarzeez valley. After descent from the mountains you reach the spectacular Mughsail Beach. On its one end lies a serene lagoon frequented by flamingos. On the other the cliffs of Qamar mountains loom out on the horizon. Under the imposing Marneef cave you will have the opportunity to wonder at water fountains gushing from the blowholes in the cliffs.

Visit to the interior of the great mosque of Salalah. Excellent example of Omani architecture and design - carved doors, chandeliers, carpets, calligraphy in plaster.

Stop At: Al Hosn Palace, As Sultan Qaboos St., Salalah 211 Oman

Stop at the main gate of the Palace, taking photos of the clocktower and surrounding gardens

Stop At: Al-Husn Souq, Sultan Quaboos Street, Salalah 211 Oman

Inhale the scent of the best frankincense and other fragrances and perfumes. Shopping for the traditional items like incense burners, basketry, Omani national dress and other souvenirs.

A short walk in the vast plantations where you can explore the irrigation system watering coconut palms, bananas, papayas and many other fruits and vegetables. You can also enjoy drinking the coconut water and tasting various fruits in the local stalls.

Discover the natural site of the spring surrounded by limestone rock formations and caves. You can see the spring water running in the irrigation channels all year round.

Ittine lookout point and cave - ascend to the superb vantage point on the Ittine heights from which you will have excellent views of the Salalah plain and Jarzeez valley on the other side. Here you can also admire the incredible limestone rock formations and caves created by erosion processes.

Have a short walk on the fascinating sandy beach at Mughsail. The beach has a beautiful lagoon at the eastern end where you can spot herons and flamingoes.

Explore the captivating Marneef rock formation created by millennia of erosion processes. Under the Marneef rock lay the renowned blow holes where at high tide the sea water gushes out of the gouges in the cliffs.
