Itinerary

Day 1: DAY 1 : Muscat – Ibra – Wadi Bani Khalid – Wahiba Sands desert – Sunset from Dunes

Stop At: Ibra Ladies Souk, Ibra Oman
Pick up time 8.30 a.m. You will depart from the capital of Muscat with our 4x4 in the direction of Ibra.

You will make a further stop at Al Mudayrib and Ibra to view the watch towers which proudly overlook the villages. 4wd journey through the mountains.

Your first stop will be Wadi Bani Khalid, one of Oman’s most beautiful wadis. The wadi has clear deep blue water and counts among the few wadis of Oman that hold water all year round. From the mountain springs, the water is led to the oasis where it sustains the typical date palms.

The pretty villages of Wadi Bani Khalid cling precariously to the rugged mountainside.
Duration: 5 hours

Stop At: Wahiba Sands, Jalan Bani Buhassan Oman
After this you will travel to Wahiba Sands which is famous for its multicolored sand which varies from black to honey-golden and even to white. In the heart of the golden sands of Sharqiyah Desert nestled amongst stunning and ever changing patterns of dunes, is the desert camp.

The camp offers a luxurious Bedouin style air conditioned accommodation with a private bathroom, and a variety of complimentary toiletries.

You will be made to feel welcome with warmth and kindness of the Omani Hospitality.

Whilst you sit around a camp fire under the starry sky, you will be able to look back over your day and appreciate the once in a life time experience. (Overnight in Arabian Oryx camp).

Day 2: DAY 2 : Desert - Wadi Shab – Bimmah Sink Hole – Muscat

Stop At: Wadi Shab, 50km West of Sur, Sur 411 Oman
Pick up 8.30 a.m. You will depart from Muscat to travel south towards the Quriyat Region. After travelling just a few kilometers arrive at Wadi Shab (Wadi meaning valley between cliffs).

Upon arrival at Wadi Shab you will transfer to a small fishing boat to be taken across the wadi to enable you to start your journey.

You will walk 30 mins one way through the amazing canyon, until you arrive at the wadi which leads to the Keyhole.

Here you can relax; take a dip in the pools. You will have the opportunity to swim through a pool of crystal clear water and dive through a narrow keyhole, inside you will find a magnificent cave, complete with an incredible waterfall.

Post this you will continue to the mountainous landscape arriving at the dramatic Bimmah Sinkhole.

Stop At: Muscat International Airport, Muscat, Oman
Once you are refreshed you will continue travelling to Muscat & guide will drop you at the Muscat airport.
