This tour gives you a first hand experience of the most majestic components of Oman - the desert and the Indian ocean. You will see, feel and live the beauty of the desert and salty air of the ocean.

The epic expanse of the desert is a once in a lifetime feeling, not easily replicated in modern life. Waking up to the sound of the breaking waves is an unmatched level of peace and relaxation.

Itinerary

Day 1: Muscat - Wahiba Sands

Stop At: Wahiba Sands, Wahiba Sands, Ash-Sharqiyah Governorate
We will depart Muscat and drive along the road, the most direct route to the very edge of the desert. Once at the perimeter of the desert we will stop to rest and make camp for the evening.
Duration: 8 hours

Day 2: Wahiba Sands Crossing

Stop At: Wahiba Sands, Jalan Bani Buhassan Oman
After a shared breakfast we will dive straight into the desert - heading in a south-east direction, through the towering dunes, rolling like waves across the horizon.

The dune crossing itself will take up the most part of the day. We will spend the night deep in the heart of the desert; here there is no light pollution, no noise at all - only the sound of the whispering sands and the bright light from the stars and moon.

Along the way we will stop along the way for photos, snacks and rest stops.

Day 3: Wahiba Sands to Indian Ocean

Stop At: Ghalat, Oman
This morning we will de-camp and then make our way due East, towards the Indian ocean. Now the dunes will start to get a little smaller, gradually evening out as we get closer to the Indian Ocean.

Once we spot the ocean on the horizon we will soon be at the final camping spot of the tour - directly on the beach front of the Indian Ocean, a place generally known as Ghalat.

Here we will camp overnight

Day 4: Indian Ocean - Muscat City

Stop At: Ghalat, Oman
After waking up to the sound of the breaking waves, we will have breakfast together, de-camp and then drive a short way along the coastal road - keep the disappearing desert on our left hand side, and the ocean on our right.

After a couple hours taking the 'scenic route' along the coast we will cut back inland and take the most direct route back to Muscat
