This special trip only takes place once a year to coincide with the Chilam Joshi Festival of the Kalash Valley. The Kalash Valley covers the three valleys of Birir, Bumburet and Rumbur and the residents have their own unique culture and traditions which come into fruition at their festivals.

Itinerary
Day 1: Meet and Greet
Stop At: Islamabad, Islamabad, Islamabad Capital Territory
Make your arrangements to arrive into Islamabad. Meet your Trip Manager and mingle with the rest of the group over dinner and orientation this evening.

Day 2: Islamabad - Chitral
Stop At: Chitral, Chitral, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Province
An early leave to travel to Chitral where we spend the night in a hotel.

Day 3: Chitral - Kalash
Stop At: Kalasha Valleys, Chitral Pakistan
Arriving in the Kalash Valley, we will throw ourselves into the festivities in the village of Balanguru. You will have the chance to explore the beautiful valley of Bumburet and get to chat to locals about the Joshi Festival, understand the meaning of the festival and see how the Kalashi people live.

Day 4: Kalash
Stop At: Kalasha Valleys, Chitral Pakistan
Be ready for a bumpy 4x4 ride as today we have a full day to experience the Joshi Festival and absorb this remarkable culture! We will drink locally made wine, don colourful attire and dance alongside the revellers in Balanguru village. See how they make offerings to their gods and join in with the ritual celebrations yourself!

Day 5: Kalash - Chitral
Stop At: Chitral, Chitral, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Province
A further day of festivities. Today you will have the opportunity to see the young Kalashi women and men choose their future husbands and wives, marking the end of the festival. We will leave and head back to Chitral for the night.

Day 6: Chitral
Stop At: Chitral Fort, Chitral Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Pakistan, Chitral Pakistan
A full day to explore the city of Chitral. Options include Chitral Fort, the Shahi Masjid and the Chitral Museum of Archaeology and Ethnology.

Day 7: Chitral - Islamabad
Stop At: Islamabad, Islamabad, Islamabad Capital Territory
We leave for the long drive back south to Islamabad, passing scenic valleys, mountain vistas and towns along the way.
