Kirthar National Park & Ranikot Fort
The Kirthar National Park,a vast rugged national park in southwest Sindh, is situated in the Kirthar Mountain range,It is the second largest national park of Pakistan,about 170 Kilometers from Karachi city one have to travel in a 4x4 to visit the park,The fauna comprises leopards, striped hyenas, wolves, ratels, urials, chinkara gazelles and rare Sindh wild goats. It is home to two wildlife sanctuaries Hub Dam Wildlife Sanctuary and Mahal Kohistan Wildlife Sanctuary as well as the Surjan, Sumbak, Eri and Hothiano game reserves.
Ranikot fort is also located within the Kirthar Park boundaries. Karchat is the village where Sindh wild life department has build seven cottages, electricity
Next day we would see Ranikot Fort is a historical fort near Sann, also known as The Great Wall of Sindh. It is believed to be the world's largest fort with a circumference of 35 km, get back though a metal road along indus highway then taking superhighway from Hyderabad
The Kirthar National Park can be accessed via the M9 route that runs between Hyderabad and Karachi. A 4-wheel drive is recommended in order to sustain the ruggedness of the park range.s.
on superhighway we will exit towards Thana Bola Khan & to Karachat, First 130 km is metallic then off road. Takes around 6 hrs.
