Itinerary
Day 1: ARRIVAL DAY IN ISLAMABAD PAKISTAN
Pass By: Islamabad International Airport, Airport Ave, Islamabad Gandhara International Airport, Islamabad, Attock, Punjab, Pakistan
Most of the international flights arrives at Islamabad International Airport in the mornings. Your Guide will meet and greet you at the airport, then you will be transfer to the hotel. Rest of the days is free to recover from your journey. Later in the day, when everyone has arrived, we will have a group briefing about the Rakaposhi Expedition.

Day 2: DRIVE TO CHILLAS
Stop At: Karakoram Highway, Hassanabdal Pakistan From Hassan Abdal to China border, Gilgit Pakistan
Today you will start your Epic Journey towards Karakoram Highway. You will pass through some culturally rich and historical Towns, Taxila, Hassan Abdal, Hari Pur, Abbot Abbad then Besham. You will do few stops along the ways for tea breaks. KKH takes off from Hasan Abdal. The road follows every twist and turn of the Indus River. About 190 km after Beshamn, the road meets Chillas which appears to be an oasis in a desert. Chillas has a unique charm. Here You will have a magnificent view of the three World highest Mountain ranges: Karakoram in the north, Himalayas in east and Hindu Kush in west. Chillas is the getaway to Nanga Parbat (8126m). Nanga Parbat is the ninth world highest mountain, which is one of the hardest mountain to climb. It has a nick name of Killer Mountain. In Chillas there are no Tourist attractions.

Day 3: DRIVE TO MINAPIN
Stop At: Tagafai Base Camp, Minapin Pakistan
After breakfast you will continue your Journey along the Indus and Hunza River to Minapin. The scenery and view of Nanga Parbat on the way from KKH is stunning. On the way the road gradually climbs approximately every 10-km difference of 100m.You will enjoy a spectacular view of mount Rakaposhi (7788m) having many habitants and villages around its foothills, with its snow crown changing colour with light. The route is abounded with terraced fields, particularly apricot, apple and walnut trees at most spectacular either in blossom or during autumn. Minapin is a small, cozy village and the starting point for both Rakaposhi and Diran base camps.

Day 4: TREK TO TAGAFARI
Stop At: Gilgit-Baltistan, Minapin
Trek starts from the village along with a canal under shaded trees 15 minutes towards the Minapin River. The trail turns south into the canyon and crosses a footbridge over the rivers true left bank after 10 minutes. The trail continues through the juniper trees to a grassy-tiered meadow of Hapakun. From the meadow of Hapakun you can have a view of Hachindar and Maiun peaks above the Hunza river. A steep trail continues from Hapakun to Tagaphari.The trail eases off and contours the rocky slope for 30 minutes to a verdant bowl where wildflowers and colorful songbirds thrive. Sweeping gently through the meadow, the trail enters scattered juniper stands and climbs switchbacks to the windy ridge top, where Diran, Rakaposhi and their interconnecting ice wall finally come into full view.

Day 5: TREK TO BASE CAMP
Stop At: Rakaposhi View Point, Rposhi hunza valley, Ghulmet 15650 Pakistan
From Tagaphari to Rakaposhi Base camp is a spectacular walk, you will walk 3 hours on land and almost 3 hours to cross Minapin glacier and reach at the foot of Diran (7270m). From Diran Base Camp, trekking south-east up the ablation valley towards the rocky bend (4040m) in the Glacier brings you to the point where the route to Camp I moves into the Glacier, close beneath Diran .You can enjoy the view of several peaks around you.

Day 6: ACCLIMATISATION AND CLIMBING PERIOD DAY 6 -35
Pass By: Rakaposhi View Point, Rposhi hunza valley, Ghulmet 15650 Pakistan
Non guided climb will start from today onwards. During the climbing period our staff will be at base camp to help and assist you. Our professional Chef will make delicious and most nutritious food which we believe that, it plays a great role in climbing mountains.
