Hacienda Carta Vieja located in El Tejar, Alanje, province of Chiriquí

Around 4,500 hectares of sugarcane are harvested during the zafra season and 400,000 metric tons of refined sugar are produced per year.

Transfer takes 30 minutes from the city of David or 1 hour and 15 minutes from city of Boquete. 

Its recommend that you bring sunscreen, sunglasses, a wide-brimmed hat and clothes according to the summer season.

If you are interesting on local gastronomy

After the rum tasting you can enjoy a traditional Panamanian dinner at Colibri Restaurant located in Boquete

We will taste artisan rums: Pedro Mandinga, Radical Distilling and Colibri

Your dinner schedule with artisan rums pairing will can be booked by us for Tuesday to Sunday
