Itinerary

Day 1: Airport pick up

Stop At: Tocumen International Airport, Avenida Domingo Díaz, Panamá, Panama
Airport pcik up, greets and meeting. Includes highway tolls

Day 2: Panama City Main Attractions

Stop At: Miraflores Visitor Center, East Side of the Miraflores Locks, Panama City Panama
Visit Panama Canal's Miraflores visitor center and watch the ships going trough the locks first hand. Learn the history, functioning and how important is the canal not just for Panama but for the world.
Duration: 1 hour 30 minutes

Stop At: Amador Causeway (Calzada de Amador), Av Amador, Panama City Panama
Visit the causeway, the road built over the sea wall by US miltary to supply the artillery positions to defend Panama Canal pacific entrance. Now is a really nice place to visit with an amazing view of Panama City and Panama Canal pacific entrance.
Duration: 45 minutes

Stop At: San Felipe, Panama City, Panama
Lets take a walk trough the old buildings and churches at the second Panama city ever. This city was founded after the destruction of the first city by pirate Henry Morgan. But this is not just an Old Town walking tour. It is also a food and drinks tour. Experience some dishes and drinks the panamanians are known for. Taste the most expensive coffe in the world, Panama city's best chicken empanadas, organic chocolate, special smooth tasting rum, artisanal beer and to top it off, dinner at the fish market.

Day 3: Nature, Culture and Heritage

Stop At: Monkey Island, Gatun Lake, Panama City Panama
Sail trough Panama Canal to reach Monkey Island in Gatun Lake, observe different species of monkeys and other animals as iguanas, turtles, cocodriles, many species of birds
Duration: 1 hour 30 minutes

Stop At: Gamboa, Gamboa, Colon Province
After that we'll visiting a Wounan indigenous community to learn about their culture and way of living, participate en their traditional music and dancing
Duration: 2 hours

Stop At: Portobelo, Portobelo, Colon Province
We'll continue to the atlantic coast of Panama in Colon province where you can choose visiting the old ruins of the forts of Portobelo, one of the most important and prosperous cities for the spanish conquistadores or visiting San Lorenzo fort with its beautiful view of Chagres river entrance and beautiful trough rainforest road

Stop At: Panama Canal Railway Company, Ferrocarril de Panamá, Panamá, Panama
To top it off we'll get on the Panama Canal Railway Company train to go back to Panama city

Day 4: Travel to The Border day

Pass By: Panama City, Panama City, Panama Province
Departure early morning. The travel to the border. Save your energy. This is a 6 hours non stopping ride to the border. Bad luck for you is that we will stop.....several times

Stop At: El Valle de Anton, El Valle de Anton, Cocle Province
We'll start travelling to Anton Valley (without breakfast).We'll do the mandatory stop at Quesos Chela, a spot where locals can buy traditional snacks for the road. Located in the crater of a million years extint volcano, Anton Valley has many attractions like El Macho waterfal, La india Dormida Hiking trail, La Cruz peak, Nispero zoo, Thermal waters, the Butterflies Haven, The Serpentary, Squared trees and of course The Artisans Market.

Stop At: Fundación El Caño, Edificio 221, PB,, Panama City, Panama
From there we re-take our journey to the border stopping in El Caño site. Located in Nata district, Cocle province this interesting aerqueological park was inaugurated in 1979. Discovered by Hyatt Verril in 1926 tell the history of an ancient civilzation setled there 800 years A.C

Stop At: Boquete, Boquete, Chiriqui Province
Overnight close to Costa Rica border

Day 5: To San Jose

Pass By: Paso Canoas, Paso Canoas, Chiriqui Province
We'll head early morning to the border where we will meet our friends in Costa Rica that will be taking care of you. We'll help you out to complete the process wich is fast and easy. After that you'll meet your partner for this trip to see beautiful Costa Rica

Stop At: Manuel Antonio, Manuel Antonio, Province of Puntarenas
On the way to San Jose, you'll visit rice and palm trees plantations. From there to Manuel Antonio Park wich is the most visited in Costa Rica to sightsee its exhuberant flora and fauna, finishing at it's beautiful beaches and lunch ina a traditionl Costa Rican restaurant.

Stop At: San Jose, San Jose, San Jose Metro, Province of San Jose
You'll also stop to get some delicious artisanal ice cream on the  way to San Jose.

Day 6: Poas Volcano and San Jose City

Stop At: Cr130, Poas Volcano National Park Costa Rica
You'll be visiting Poas Volcano, stopping on the way at El Valle observation deck where you can see whole Costa Rica Central Valley. You'll keep going observing along the way several plantations of strawberries, passion fruits and green palm trees. Poas volcano is at crater is at 2708 meters over sea level and is 300 meters deep and 1320 meters diameter is one of the largest in the world. Also in this same zone you will be visiting the largest coffee farm in Costa Rica wich has the oldest coffee traetment plant.

Day 7: City Tour And To The Border

Stop At: San Jose, San Jose, San Jose Metro, Province of San Jose
This day your journey back starts. On the way to the border you will be visiting the most emblematic places in San Jose. National Theatre, Museo del Oro Precolombino, Jade Museum and National Stadium
Duration: 2 hours

Stop At: Orotina, Orotina, Province of Alajuela
Form there you will be driving to Orotina city, know for its excellet fruits.
Duration: 45 minutes

Stop At: River Tarcoles, Costa Rica
Next stop will be Tarcoles river for a crocodriles tour. This river have a population of more than 2500 crocs and also have he record for the oldest croc on earth, living more than 110 years. Optional you can also tae a horseback riding tour in Tarcoles beah before heading to the border.

Stop At: Volcan, Volcan, Chiriqui Province
After doing the process at the border again we'll be doing overnight in Panama's highlands in Cerro Punta or Volcan towns

Day 8: Panama's Highlands

Stop At: Boquete, Boquete, Chiriqui Province
Before heading back to Panama City we'll be doing a sightseeing tour in Chiriqui's province highlands cities of Cerro Punta, Volcan and Boquete. Cerro Punta known for its agriculture, we'll stop to buy some traditional deserts. After that we'll be driving a very scenic road on the way to Boquete passing trough Volcan stopping in several spots for pictures. Arriving to Boquete we'll be visiting our friend Arturo's coffee shop to test one of the best coffees in town together maybewith some advocado toasts or empanadas. Optional and depending on time we can have lunch in Boquete or wait for a few hours to visit our friend Jhowy and his delicious and tasty artisanal pizza

Stop At: Panama City Panama Temple, Calle Rybicki 3172, Panama City Panama
After lunch we'll head to Panama City depending of time with another stop for dinner.

Day 9: Back Home
