8Day Luxury Salkantay Trek To Machu Picchu Private Service

This is a breathtaking 8 Day Luxury trek in Cusco, Peru, a magical place full of history, culture and gourmet food that turn your trip to Machu Picchu into something very exclusive. This trek takes you through diverse landscapes and altitudes, at around the skirts of Mount Salkantay (6271m/20,568ft) and camp within sight of the snowcapped peaks. We ascend to reach the famous Apacheta Pass at (4,600m/15,088ft) and descend into a tropical area passing Andenes and Chaullay on the far side of the mountain. The best to come at the end Machu Picchu.

Day 1 : ARRIVE TO CUZCO

After welcoming you at the airport, and stay either at the excellent Palacio del Inka, luxury collection hotel or Hotel Aranwa Cusco Boutique, you can enjoy the Inca city and colonial heritage on your own.  and provide you some tips to eat at some local restaurants.  There is also an option for you to tour the temple of the sun or 'Koricancha'.

Day 2 :OPTIONAL: FULL DAY SACRED VALLEY TOUR (FOR AN EXTRA COST)

After breakfast, we will pick you up from your hotel at 8:00am. This is a full day excursion to the Urubamba Valley visiting the colorful Indian market in Pisac . Followed by Pisac in Urubamba valley where we will have a lunch then we continue through to ancient Ollantaytambo village and Chinchero market. At your return, you will continuing enjoying the Palacio del Inka, luxury collection hotel or Hotel Aranwa Cusco Boutique. 

Day 3 : TIME TO TREK, CUSCO - MOLLEPATA – CHALLACANCHA - SORAYPAMPA

Today we pick you up at 5:00 am and travel by bus to Mollepata. hike to Cruzpata where we will have lunch with the panoramic views of the beautiful snow-capped mountains of Humantay and Salkantay We will begin our trek towards Soraypamapa, our first campsite.  Comfortable campsite to pass the night. 

Day 4 : MIGHTY SALKANTAY

We will have breakfast at around 5:30 am and begin our hike . After a rest, we will continue our walk through a dramatic cloud forest towards Huayracpunku, also known as Huayracmachay, where we will have lunch. We hike to reach our second comfortable campsite, at Colcapampa. 

Day 5 : CLOUD FOREST

After breakfast, at 6:30 am, we start trekking through the jungle Today we will pass through valleys and have wonderful views of waterfalls, tropical fruits and plants. We will camp in the warm climate of La Playa After a rest, we will go to the hot springs. Comfortable campsite set up in place.

Day 6 : LLACTAPATA – AGUAS CALIENTES

We will have breakfast at 6:30 am and then head for Llactapata. Llactapata is an incredible Inca, until we reach the hydroelectric for lunch. And then we walk for a couple of hours until get Aguas Calientes, where we will spend the night at the superb Inkaterra Machupicchu Hotel.

Day 7 : MACHU PICCHU IN ITS GLORY!

Early breakfast at the hotel, then your guide will pick you up at 5:30am to take the bus station and board the bus up to the majestic Machu Picchu Inca .Finally, we visit Machu Picchu itself with a walking tour, (approximately 2 hours) which is given by your guide.Then we will board the train back to Poroy train station and transfer you back to the excellent Palacio del Inka, A Luxury Collection Hotel or Hotel Aranwa Cusco Boutique.

Day 8 :TRANSFER OUT, BYE CUSCO!

After breakfast, we will take you back to the airport according your flight itinerary.
