The Archeological Center of Ankasmarka is located 23 km from the city of Calca, on the way to the valleys of Lares and Lacco at an altitude of 3850 m.s. It limits to the north with the Nevado Yana Sumi, to the south with the Quebrada Qochoc and the population of Calca, to the east with the community of Pampallaqta and the hill Watapata and to the west with the hills of Qosqo Qhawarina and Toroyoq.

THE ANIMAL SANCTUARY OF CCOCHAHUASI was founded in 2007. Private family organization dedicated to rescuing animals that have suffered mistreatment by man, or those from illicit trafficking of wildlife, delivered in custody by the Ecological Police or the Peruvian Government.

Operates: You will be picked up from your hotel at 7:30 a.m. to start a panoramic trip to the mountains to reach the Archaeological Complex of Ankasmarka (3850 masl), which unlike Machupicchu is not restored, looks great and dramatic. We will pass by the cities of Calca which is located in the Sacred Valley of the Incas, passing Pisac, Coya, Lamay, we will arrive to Calca, from there we will drive by car for 40 more minutes to the lost city of Ankasmarka, our tour will last 2 hours exploration, in the Archaeological Center of Ankasmarka, we will observe the most important points of this Archaeological Center of Ankasmarka, (history, customs and mythology). This wonderful place of Ankasmarka was one of the largest centers of storage and distribution of food, where there are more than a hundred Qollcas (granaries) or possibly funeral constructions, which were built by ancient civilizations and later used by the Incas. After the tour with your private guide, we will descend 2 hours to the sector known as "the town of Totora" where we will have a buffet lunch, prepared by our chef. In the town of Totora your private transport will be waiting for you to take you to the next stop EL SANTUARIO ANIMAL DE CCOCHAHUASI. Then we will board our transport for your trip back to the city of Cusco, arriving at approximately 5:00 pm.
