The enigmatic Candelabra a geoglyph located in part of the Paracas peninsula.

Beliefs are woven that this figure would indicate the existence of some hidden treasure by the pirates who ravaged the American coasts in search of the precious gold that the conquerors obtained from the indigenous peoples and embarked to Europe. Contrary to this theory they argue that pirates were crude beings, that they would not do such a marvel.

Versions of legends affirm that the ancient Peruvians who crossed the sea, drew this candelabra with the purpose of orienting themselves in their fishing or conquest voyages, because seen from land can not be appreciated, what if it happens from the limpid sea of Paraqueño.

One theory points out that it was made by José de San Martín 1778-1850, interpreting that it is a symbol of Freemasonry and another that it is a signal for navigators. Although this theory does not coincide with the supposed antiquity of the figure, 2500 years.
