Itinerary
Day 1: Cusco City Tour
Stop At: Sacsayhuaman, Cusco 08000 Peru
We will pick you up from your hotel lobby at 10:30 a.m. to start our tour. This fascinating City Tour in Cusco takes you through the Plaza de Armas, San Pedro Market, the most important colonial church Cathedral of Cusco, the Temple of the Sun Qoricancha, 4 Inca archaeological sites which are outside of the city. (Saqsayhuman, Qenqo, Pucapucara and tambomachay)
This tour will take you to local sites which are not included in most other tours. You will meet by your guide at your hotel and we will walk to the bustling San Pedro market, where many Cusqueños people start their day. We will stop to have some coffee or tea and take a tour of the stands that sell everything from fruits and vegetables, meats and medicinal plants. You will then be led on a tour of the most important historical sites of Cusco including the Plaza de Armas and the main cathedral. In the cathedral, you can see a massive silver altar and a painting of the last supper where they are eating guinea pig. We will also give you a tour of Coricancha, which was the most sacred Inca temple dedicated to the sun God. When the Spaniards arrived to Cusco, they demolished the temple, using the existing foundation on which to build a colonial church. We will then have lunch in a local restaurant where you can taste cuy (guinea pig).
After lunch, we will drive 30 minutes to Tambomachay which was the Inca temple of the water, and then well visit Pukapucara which was a ceremonial place of the Incas. Then we will visit the the Unesco world heritage site of Sacsayhuaman. Located on a steep outcropping overlooking Cusco, this Inca site is composed of massive boulders held together without mortar. It was an important site for military and ceremonial purposes. You will be given a private tour of the site and we will go to a vista where there are great views overlooking the city of Cusco and we can enjoy the sunset. We will also visit some other amazing Inca sites nearby such as Return by private transport to your hotel in Cusco.

Day 2: Awanacancha - Pisaq - Ollantaytambo.
Stop At: Sacred Valley of the Incas, 0051 Peru
We will pick you up from your Hotel lobby in Cusco with our private transportation at 8 a.m. And then we go in direction to our journey the sacred valley.
First place to be visited you will go to the alpaca and llama farm awanacancha where you will see Alpacas, Llamas, Guanacos, and vicuñas and your tour guide will give you background information, and youll learn how to make the different between llama and alpaca, and also your guide will show you the local museum of potatoes and a textile center. Showing how the local people process alpaca wool before becoming in souvenirs. You can purchase at places, it has the most quality alpaca souvenirs.
And then well drive to the view point of the sacred valley (lookout point), where youll have the impressive views of the valley. Following our tour we will drive to Pisaq the first visit Inca ruins. At Pisaq ruins you can see magnificent views of the Inca remains, terraces, the largest Inca tombs (over 300 tombs), army sector, and temples, etc.
We have around 2 hours to visit where your guide will explain all the information. And then before we return to the valley we visit the most colorful and traditional local market Pisaq where you can purchase traditional textiles at low prices. The market is open every day, but on Sundays, Tuesdays and Thursdays are most popular days because also the locals get their supplies.
Following the journey, well drive along the beautiful valley with great scenery you will be able to see the corn farmlands, potatoes, the incredible quinoa, and much more, which are farming on the Inca terraces. And then well arrive at Urubamba town around 13:00 pm for our lunch. You will have an amazing selection of fresh dishes, served buffet-style.
Afterwards we will drive for 30 minutes more to get the last Inca ruins as known as Ollantaytambo (Inca palace, water temple, sun temple, Inca terraces, etc). This Inca site was built with pink granite rocks where you can see the second biggest rock from the Incas time (85 tons).
This living Incan town displays narrow walkways, lined with water channels. After the tour of ollantaytambo, your tour guide will take you to your Hotel *** which is located in the same town (Ollantaytambo)

Day 3: Maras Moray Chinchero - Train to Aguas Calientes ( Machu Picchu ).
Stop At: Salinas de Maras, Carreta a Maras Urubamba, Maras 00051 Peru
After your breakfast, we will start the tour at 8:00 a.m. we will drive in direction to the view point of Urubamba town, following we keep driving to visit the incredible Salineras Maras Salt Mines. There are over 3,000 salt pools, which works as evaporation chambers because locals take advance of the natural spring which water is salt. The salt pools are traditionally allotted to the citizens of Maras wishing to harvest salt.
After the mines, well visit the Maras Town with the incredible views around. Following we will drive to Moray Inca Archeological experimental terraces. Moray was use by Incas as an experimental center where Incas built many terraces as coliseum and experimented with different types of crops. So the Incas took advance of the microclimate.
Afterwards we will drive to Chinchero, where we will visit some Inca terraces, used to farm potatoes and some more Inca structure. We will also see one single colonial church, which was built by the Spaniards, on the top of the Inca palace foundations. And later on you will visit one of the local weavers to watch a demonstration about the textile and they will show you all their skills with alpaca souvenirs. After chinchero you will have lunch in Urubamaba.
Then we will head back to Ollantaytambo, where you can rest and have dinner at one of local restaurants. Later you will pack and preparing for the train journey to Aguas Calientes where youll spend the night. All the activities are with your tour guide so your safety is guaranteed.

Day 4: Aguas Calientes - Machu Picchu back to Cusco
Stop At: Santuario Historico de Machu Picchu, Machu Picchu Peru
Today you will be visiting the famous Sacred City of the Incas Machu Picchu. You will have to get up very early and have breakfast in order to catch one of the first touristic buses to machu picchu.
to enjoy the sun rise and avoid the crowds so it will be after you, you and your tour guide will arrange to catch the bus and to do the tour. The first bus is at 5:30am. And takes 30 minutes to Machu Picchu. It can be enjoyable to arrive at the ruins as soon as they open the check point, at 6 a.m., to catch the magical mists on the ruins as the sun rises. Your tour guide will take you to the famous spot which has the best views for your classic photos of Machu picchu. Then we will start the two hours of guiding tour, walking, visiting, and exploring all of the famous places of this amazing Inca city: guardians house, the Sun temple, Temple of Mother Earth, The Intiwatana (sun dial), Main Plaza, temple of the Condor and much more to explorer.
After the guiding tour, youll get free time so you will have time to explore the ruins on your own. If you are climbing Huayna Picchu Mountain or Machu Picchu Mountain, you will head to do that excursion. If you dont have the tickets for the mountains, you have more option, you can walk to the Sun Gate and get its amazing views or also you walk to the Inca Bridge so both of them are amazing and less crowded.
Once youll have done with Machu Picchu you will take the bus back down to Aguas Calientes to enjoy your lunch at one of the many restaurants. Make sure to arrive at train station 30 minutes before your departure. Our train schedule is usually around at 4:00 p.m. to Ollantaytambo.
So your transportation back in Cusco, it will be by train and private van. From Aguas Calientes to Ollantaytambo town, it will be by train, which will take 1 hour and half, then from Ollantaytambo to Cusco, it will be by our private van, which will take 2 hours.
If you want to do upgrade train Vistadon class service, the end of the train vistadon journey will be at poroy station where our private transportation will be waiting for you to take back to your hotel.
