The city of Cusco was the capital of the most extensive and important empire of the Americas. This beautiful city is currently a living museum that keeps beautiful places that amaze the thousands of visitors who come to know its attractions, especially to know the magnificent Machu Picchu.

But Cusco is not only the city and Machu Picchu, you will also find beautiful places like the Sacred Valley of the Incas and the South Valley which are composed of beautiful landscapes and enigmatic Inca constructions.
• Day 1: Transfer from the airport to your hotel in Cusco. In the afternoon: City Tour.
• Day 2: South Valley (Tipon, Piquillaqta and the temple of Andahuaylillas).
• Day 3: Archaeological Center of Moray and the salt mines of Maras.
• Day 4: Sacred Valley of the Incas (Pisaq Archaeological Center, Pisaq Handicraft Market, Ollantaytambo archaeological center).
• Day 5: Machu Picchu (Citadel of Machu Picchu).
• Day 6: Transfer from your hotel in the city of Cusco to the airport.

Itinerary

Day 1: DAY1: TRANSFER FROM THE AIRPORT TO YOUR HOTEL IN CUSCO. IN THE AFTERNOON: CITY TOUR.

Upon your arrival at the international airport of Cusco, Alejandro Velasco Astete, your transfer will be waiting for you to take you to your hotel (hotels located in the city of Cusco).

In the afternoon our transfer is going to go to your hotel to pick you up from 1:20 pm to 1:40 pm to go to the starting point of the City tour (Visit to the Cathedral of Cusco, the Inca temple of Qoricancha and the archaeological park of Sacsayhuaman and its four ruins). The tour will end at approximately 6 pm in San Francisco Square or at your hotel (hotels located in the center of the city).

Day 2: DAY 2: SOUTH VALLEY.

Stop At: San Pedro Apostol de Andahuaylillas, Calle Tacna No 302, Andahuaylillas 08210 Peru
Our transfer (staff of the agency) will pick you up from your hotel in the city of Cusco from 7:50 am to 8:10 am and guide you to our tourist transport. Once all the group will be together, we are going to drive to the south of Cusco taking the Cusco - Puno route to visit the main tourist attractions of the famous South Valley of Cusco. The first archaeological place that we are going to visit is Tipon, which is an impressive Inca construction conformed by 12 terraces that currently serve as cultivation areas. We will also witness one of the greatest engineering works of irrigation built by the Incas.

Then we will go to the archaeological site of Piquillacta to have a guided tour of approximately 45 minutes touring its different streets, squares, homes, temples and food deposits. To end our visit to the main tourist attractions of the South Valley, we will visit the picturesque village of Andahuaylillas where we will visit the famous church of San Pedro or the so-called "Sistine Chapel of Cusco" which contains a beautiful decoration and mural painting of the centuries XVII and XVIII. Finally, we will return to the city of Cusco at approximately at 3:30 p.m.

We are going to end this day trip in the city center or San Francisco Square of Cusco.

Day 3: DAY 3: ARCHAEOLOGICAL SITE OF MORAY AND THE SALT MINES OF MARAS

Stop At: Moray, Maras 08655 Peru
We are going to go to your hotel from 8:00 a.m. to 8:30 a.m. for your pick up and to go to the Sacred Valley of the Incas taking the Cusco - Chincheros route. After 50 minutes we will arrive to the town of Maras were we will stop for having a rest for 10 minuts and start againg our visit to the archeological place of Moray. After 45 minuts of visiting we will go to the salt mines of Maras to appreciate the artisanal extraction of this mineral. For finishing, we will return to the bus to drive towards the city of Cusco and drop you off in your hotel (hotels located at the centre of Cusco city or near to the main square) if your hotel is located far from the city centre or in a neighborhood inaccessible for cars, vans or buses we will drop you off at Santa Teresa Street or San Francisco square.

Day 4: DAY 4: SACRED VALLEY OF THE INCAS

Stop At: Archaeological Park Ollantaytambo, Ollantaytambo 08676 Peru
We will pick you up from your hotel from 7:20 a.m. to 7:40 a.m. to go to the Sacred Valley of the Incas where we will visit the archaeological place of Pisaq, located at the top of a mountain, from where you will have a spectacular view of the Sacred valley. Once we have finished with the guided tour we will return to the bus to go to the Pisaq market and learn a little more about the commercial exchange of the high Andean towns of Cusco. Then we will go to Urubamba where a delicious lunch awaits us. Finally, we will go to the town of Ollantaytambo to visit one of the most beautiful Inca´s construction called Ollantaytambo archeological center, we will visit this important place for approx. 45 minutes.

Stop At: Machu Picchu, 08680, Peru
After visiting the archeological place of Ollantaytambo, we will go to the train station of Ollantaytambo town to board the train that will take us to Machu Picchu town or the also called Aguas Calientes town.

Day 5: DAY 5: MACHU PICCHU (CITADEL OF MACHU PICCHU).

Stop At: Machu Picchu, 08680, Peru
Finally the big day has arrived. Our guide will go to your hotel to pick you up and take you to the town's bus station from where you will board the bus that will take you to the archaeological center of Machu Picchu. After registering at the entrance door, you will visit Machu Picchu for 2 hours with your guide. Finally, you have to go to the bus station to take the bus that will take you back to Aguas Calientes where you will board the train that will take you to the Ollantaytambo train station where we will be waiting for you in order to bring you back to the city of Cusco.

REMEMBER: We have different options for the train back from Aguas Calientes to Ollantaytambo train station, at 2:30 pm, 2:55 pm, 4:22 pm, 6:20 pm

The tour will finish aprox. at 9 pm. It will also depends of the availability of the train ticket, during the high season it is really difficult to find train back tickets from Machu Picchu Town to Ollantaytambo train station, we recommend to book this tour with 2 or 3 weeks in advance to avoid any inconvenience.

Day 6: DAY 6: TRANSFER FROM YOUR HOTEL IN THE CITY OF CUSCO TO THE AIRPORT.

We will pick you up from your hotel (hotels located in the city of Cusco) to take you to the airport of the city of Cusco where you will board the plane that will take you to your next destination.
