Our visit to the colonial, civil and religious monuments. It will start appreciating the Wall of Trujillo or Baluarte Herrera, which protected the city in the seventeenth century attacks by buccaneers and corsairs, then continue to the Plazuela El Recreo surrounded by leafy and old Ficus in which we can see a marble sink , previously located in the Plaza de Armas, as well as the old Caja de Agua (water distribution system in colonial times).
Continue the visit to the PALACIO ITURREGUI, one of the most elegant in the north, it has two floors, whose neoclassical influence shows large patios and galleries, Casa de la Emancipación, its neoclassical style architecture, with mural paintings in the Rococo style, Iglesia la Merced, Casa del Mariscal de Orbegoso, Plaza Mayor and the monument of Liberty Casa Calonge Urquiaga, neoclassical style decorated with antique furniture and objects, continues to Plazuela Santo Domingo, then we will appreciate the House of Mayorazgo de Facalá, mansion of remarkable historical tradition that sheltered the making of the first National Flag used in Trujillo in the first proclamation of the independence of the Spanish yoke on December 29, 1820.
It culminates with the visit to the Archaeological Museum, where archaeological remains linked to the different pre-Hispanic cultures that developed in the La Libertad Region are exposed. The museum is located in the house Risco, famous for its patios decorated with murals. Objects of ceramics, goldsmithing, textiles and feather art stand out.
