Stop At: Humantay Lake, Cusco 08002 Peru

We will pick you from your hotel in the Cusco main city and head west towards the Sacred Valley. Our first destination shall be the cultural town of Mollepata which is a three-hours drive from Cusco. This town, sitting 2900 meters above sea level, is that starting point for trekkers who venture out on the Salkantay Trail. We shall have our breakfast in the mountain town after which we shall ascend towards the Soraypampa checkpoint. Soraypampa is located 3850 meters above sea level. It gives a breathtaking view of the magnificent Salkantay peak and serves as the toe-end of our hike towards Laguna Humantay. Our journey will be on foot from this point onwards. It is a moderate trek in difficulty levels; however, it is at a high altitude and continuously elevating; It usually takes on hour to reach the Humantay Lake from Soraypampa; however, we shall only proceed at a pace which you can cope with. We shall reach the edge of the clear waters of the Sacred Turquoise of Cusco at the end of our trek at 42000 meters above sea level. Its otherworldly beauty shall leave you amazed. We shall hike our way back to Soraypampa and head back to Cusco after spending a few hours viewing the magical Laguna Humantay. You can take all the pictures and from all the angles you want, we will have enough time at the Humantay Lake to make memories for a lifetime.
