The trek to Lares gives us the opportunity to discover a non-tourist path surrounded by the beauty of the Andes and delve into the lively culture of Quechua communities on top of the Sacred Valley of the Incas to finally reach Machu Picchu.

Itinerary

Day 1: Cusco - Huacahuasi

Stop At: Lares Trek, 08000 Peru
The first day we start from the city of Cusco towards the town of Lares to begin our hike. We left Cusco at 8:00 to reach around 11:00 to Lares to bathe in the hot springs of Lares. After the relaxing bath we take lunch and then start walking towards the community of Huacahuasi donate we will spend the night.

Day 2: Huacahuasi - Patacancha

Stop At: Lares Trek, 08000 Peru
Early in the morning we began to walk to the community of Patacancha where we will be greeted by Elena's family. This day we pass by the beautiful lagoon of Ipsaycocha, place where we will have lunch and rest a little before continuing towards Patacancha. Once in the community we can explore a Quechua community that dates back more than 1000 years. We'll spend the night at Elena's house.

Day 3: Patacancha - Ollantaytambo

Stop At: Lares Trek, 08000 Peru
After the experience of the community of Patacancha, we head towards Ollantaytambo where we will spend the night in a hotel. The road from Patacancha to Ollantaytambo has many little known ruins that we can explore along the way. From Ollantaytambo we will take our train to Machu Picchu.

Day 4: Machu Picchu

Stop At: Santuario Historico de Machu Picchu, Machu Picchu Peru
The day of Machu Picchu arrives, early in the morning we take the train to Aguas Calientes to explore the wonder of the world with our guide. A day without much walking as we devote ourselves entirely to exploration. At the end we took our train towards Cusco.
