Machu Picchu Sacred Valley Connection

For many visitors to Peru and even South America, a visit to the Inca city of Machu Picchu is the long-anticipated highpoint of their trip. In a spectacular location, it’s the best-known archaeological site on the continent. This awe-inspiring ancient city was never revealed to the conquering Spaniards and was virtually forgotten until the early part of the 20th century.

Day 1: Cusco - Sacred Valley - Aguas Calientes

The tour starts at 8:00 am with a pick up from your hotel in Cusco to make our trip to the Sacred Valley of the Incas. The first place to visit on our tour will be the archaeological complex of Pisac and its handicraft market, we will then continue with our tour until we reach the town of Urubamba where you will be offered a buffer lunch.

Continuing with our walk we will arrive at the town of Ollantaytambo where we will visit the archaeological complex and its handicraft market, after finishing our journey we will go to the train station of Ollantaytambo half an hour before the departure of our train and board the transport at 04:36 pm to the town of Aguas Calientes, upon arrival our representative will be waiting for you with a sign and will escort you to the hotel.

Day 2: Aguas Calientes - Machu Picchu - Cusco

After having breakfast at your hotel, you may board a bus that would drive you to the Machu Picchu citadel (30 Minutes). Upon reaching the Mach Picchu citadel, you will pass through the control where you will have to display the entrance ticket to Machu Picchu and your passport, you will then have a guided tour for approximately 2 hours, at the end of your tour you can visit Machu Picchu for 2 hours more on your own.

At a prudent hour you will have to descend in the same way by bus to the town of Aguas Calientes where you will be able to have lunch (not included).

In the afternoon you will board your train at 19:00 pm from Aguas Calientes to Ollantaytambo. Upon your arrival our transfer will be waiting for you at the exit of the train station to bring you back to the city of Cusco, arrival time 10:30 pm.
