Machu Picchu and Sacred Valley Overnight Tour

This private tour will be a long guided excursion journey through the magnificent Sacred Valley of the Incas and at last the visit to the Inca citadel of Machu Picchu the new 7th wonder of the world. You will travel by train to Aguas Calientes, spend the night and have a private guided tour of Machu Picchu the following morning.

Itinerary

Day 1: Cusco - Sacred Valley

Stop At: Sacred Valley of the Incas, 0051 Peru
The sacred Valley of the Incas it’s Located between the Village of Pisaq and Ollantaytambo, it has wonderful Andean Landscapes, where its inhabitants are native of the ethnic Quechua, conserves many customs and ancestral rites as well as its traditional clothing. Here you will appreciate and magnify the high technological development that the Incas Achieved on agriculture through system of Andenerias (set of land terraces in staggered form on the mountains to be used in the sowing).The tour Begins in Cusco, where we will pick you up from your Hotel at 8:00 am. and begin our journey our first stop will be at the Llama farm Awana Cancha, where we will find not only the variety of Andean Camelids Like llamas, alpacas, Guanaco and Vicuña but also a group of native people from Different communities of Peru dressed in their traditional clothes, and all of them Practicing the art of weaving textiles. Then the trip continues through the ruins of Pisac with panoramic views of the jagged granite peaks before stopping in the town to visit one of the best textile markets in the Andes. There, you’ll be able to look for souvenirs and learn about the local culture, lunch here on your own and then we have a beautiful ride along the Sacred Valley. The next stop is Ollantaytambo at 9,200ft, this is a small town with impressive Inca ruins, where we will visit the archaeological site. After visiting the ruins, we will go to the train station where we will then board the famous Vistadome or Expedition train to the quaint little town of Aguas Calientes, the gateway to Machu Picchu. You will spend the night here and be able to enjoy the town and have a nice dinner in your own.

Day 2: Machu Picchu

Stop At: Machu Picchu, Machu Picchu, Sacred Valley, Cusco Region
This morning, your guide will pick you up from the lobby of your hotel early in the morning, you will take the 30 minute shuttle bus ride up to the mountain citadel of Machu Picchu. Everywhere you look, you will be more and more impressed by the magnificent city built by the Incas, so many, many years ago. You will then enjoy a 3 hour tour with your knowledgeable, English speaking, private guide and afterwards have some time to explore on your own. Then you will take the shuttle bus back to Aguas Calientes, have some lunch on your own before boarding the train back to Ollantaytambo where your driver will be waiting for you to return you to Cusco.
