Machu Picchu and the Sacred Valley 2 days

For two days we will discover two of the most magical places on the planet, the Sacred Valley of the Incas and the Machu Picchu. We will walk through the market of Pisac and its archaeological zone, we will visit the incredible archaeological park of Ollantaytambo and we will take the train to Aguas calientes, that goes through a unique landscape. The next day we will watch the sunrise in Machu Picchu, one of the most fascinating scenes in Peru, and then we will make a guided tour of the citadel.

Itinerary

Day 1: Cusco - Pisac - Urubamba - Ollantaytambo - Aguas Calientes

Stop At: Cusco 08007, Peru
The day before the tour starts, the guide will visit you at your accommodation for a briefing and will give you the train and access tickets. The next day (Day 1 of the Tour) you will be picked up at your accommodation in Cusco around 8:30 am.

Duration: 4 hours

Stop At: Sacred Valley of the Incas, 0051 Peru
The first stop is Pisac, where we will visit the archaeological area and the traditional market, one of the best places to buy local crafts. You can buy the Cusco tourist ticket there (70 soles / $20 aprox.).

Duration: 2 hours

Stop At: Archaeological Park Ollantaytambo, Ollantaytambo 08676 Peru
We will continue our way to Urubamba, where we will enjoy a traditional buffet lunch. We will finish the route through the Sacred Valley visiting the incredible fortress of Ollantaytambo, where the guide will explain its history.
Duration: 3 hours

Stop At: Hot Springs (Aguas Calientes), Signposted from main square, Aguas Calientes, Machu Picchu Peru
After the visit he will bring you to the station where you will take the Expedition / Voyager category train to Aguas Calientes on your own (included in the price).

Once in Aguas Calientes, a different guide will be waiting for us to take us to our accommodation, where we will settle down, eat dinner and plan the visit to Machu Picchu for the next day.

Day 2: Aguas Calientes - Machu Picchu - Cusco

Stop At: Hot Springs (Aguas Calientes), Signposted from main square, Aguas Calientes, Machu Picchu Peru
Today we will have the chance to experience a magical moment: see the sunrise in Machu Picchu. We will have to wake up really early, around four o'clock in the morning breakfast will be served at our accommodation and we will go to the bus stop to take the transport to the ancient Inca citadel (please keep in mind there isonly a single bus line operating and sometimes it gets crowded, so you may have to wait a while before getting a seat).

Stop At: Machu Picchu, 08680, Peru
Once there, you will meet the guide and together we will access Machu Picchu and see the magical sunrise at this fascinating place. Afterwards, we will start a two-hour tour and we will have free time until lunchtime. At this point we can decide when we will take the bus back to Aguas Calientes, where we will stop to eat at one of its many restaurants.

Stop At: Archaeological Park Ollantaytambo, Ollantaytambo 08676 Peru
In the afternoon, we will take the Expedition class train that will bring us back to Ollantaytambo during a 90 minute trip. There we will meet with the driver that will bring us safely back to the center of Cusco.
