Magical Colca Canyon in 1 day

Enjoy great views and beautiful nature in this one day Colca Canyon visit. With a visit to the Cruz del Condor, this tour will show you one of the world's deepest Canyons. Take photos and relax while the Condors fly over your head. You will visit different viewpoints and little towns to learn about life in the Colca area, before heading back to Chivay to visit the hot springs. Spot llamas and vicuñas in the national park on your way to Arequipa. You will be dropped off around 5.30pm.

Day 01: Arequipa - Chivay - Cruz del Condor - Chivay - Arequipa

The full day colca tour is the best way to visit the colca when you are on a time limit. With an early pickup from your hotel between 03.00 and 03.30 AM we will start our 4 hour journey from Arequipa to the Colca Canyon. We will stop to have breakfast in Chivay - the provincial capital of the valley - after which we will go on to arrive around 8.30 at the Cruz del Condor. Here you will have the time to admire the impressive Andean Condor in its natural habitat. Take amazing photos of the condors flying right over your head whilst enjoying the view of one of the deepest canyons in the world.  

After the visit to the Cruz del Condor we return to Chivay making stops along the way in the small local villages Pinchollo, Maca and Yanque. These beautiful little villages with their colonial churches and Pre-Inca terraces show you all about life in the second deepest Canyon in the world. You will be able to spot traditional animals, buy local souvenirs and learn about the culture.

We will continue on to Chivay to visit the medicinal hot springs where you can relax and really take in the beautiful environment before enjoying a buffet lunch in a local restaurant.

After lunch it is time to head back to Arequipa passing through Patapampa, the viewpoint of almost 5000 meters, where you can see snow covered volcanoes and mountains. And through the national reserve where you can see alpacas, llamas and vicuñas. We will arrive at Arequipa around 5.30 PM and you will be brought to your hostel or hotel.
