In just a few short hours we will cover the most important districts to the South of Lima. We will visit a well-known fish market and mingle with the locals as they await the fisherman hauling in their catch for the day. We'll see shanty towns contrasted with economic prosperity and an impressive view of the Pacific below us. We will have the opportunity to stroll through some of Lima's most beautiful parks, and the trendy bohemian district of Barranco where you will soak up the local culture. We will introduce you to some of our favorite Peruvian snacks, and guide you among Lima’s best handcraft and souvenir shops in the trendy neighborhood of Barranco.

Stop At: Playa Chorrillos, Av Chorrillos 301, Barranca Peru

Our first stop will be to the largest fish market in Lima. If you want to walk among the locals, this is a great place to do so! See the local fishermen mending their nets and restoring their little boats, hear their stories and experience a bit of the sea. A great opportunity to feed the pelicans in the Chorrillos bay is also available for those with children or who would enjoy interacting with wildlife.

Stop At: Morro Solar, Chorillos, Lima Peru

Sitting at roughly 251 meters above sea level, you will get a wonderful view of the Pacific Coastline, Chorrillos Bay and the Shanty towns below. As we descend the Morro we will check to see if the famous "Fraile" is out. If so we will watch this monk jump from the immense seaside cliffs into the crashing waves below. Often overlooked on other tours, this can be the highlight of ours!

Stop At: Barranco District, Lima Peru

Next we will pass on to the district of Barranco, known for its bohemian culture and festivities, to begin our walking tour. Filled with street vendors, musicians and performers you will once again note a different atmosphere from that of other districts we have visited throughout the day. Of special note will be the bright and colorful works of graffiti art you will see as you stroll along. We’ll see if you can “pass the test” as we cross the Bridge of Sighs and then take in the fantastic views of the Pacific with its beach life below. If you enjoy quaint handcraft shops, this is also the place to do a bit of shopping. Let your guide know at the beginning of the tour and we will arrange for some time to treasure hunt in this trendy neighborhood.

Stop At: Blu Gelateria, 28 De Julio 202, Barranco 15063, Peru

If you are up for it, we will even take you to try the best artisan ice creams around. The selection set before you will be difficult, traditional gelato as well as local fruits that have been incorporated into delicious sorbet flavors will be among the many options to choose from… but don’t worry, sample requests are welcome!

Stop At: Huaca Pucllana, Calle General Borgono Cuadra, 8 Miraflores, Lima 15074 Peru

A brief stop to observe Lima's most famous solid pyramid used as a ceremonial site for the Lima culture during the years of 200 to 700 AD. A full tour of the site is not taken, only observed from the outside.

Stop At: La Lucha Sangucheria, Diagonal 308, Miraflores 15074, Peru

Once we finish up in Barranco, and after a brief stop in the Huaca Pucllana, we will take a quick break in the heart of Miraflores at the all-famous La Lucha Sangucheria. Here you will try the best sandwiches, exotic juices and fresh-cut potato fries that Lima has to offer.

Stop At: Parque Kennedy - Parque Central de Miraflores, Lima Peru

After we finish up with our delicious lunch we will stroll through the infamous Kennedy Park. For those who love cats, you won't be able to get enough of this place as the park has become home to dozens of stray cats who are quite friendly at times.

Stop At: El Parque del Amor, Malecon de la Reserva Miraflores, Lima 18 Peru

An artistic park located on the sea-side cliffs of Miraflores. Observe the para gliders sailing over head and local young couples strolling along the paths dedicated to lovers everywhere. A great place to snap a quick photo of you and a loved one!
