Itinerary

Stop At: Casa Salkantay Museo Restaurant, 5 minutos from plaza de Mollepata, highway to Soraypampa, Mollepata Peru

We start with the pick up at your hotel at 4:30 am with our van. We will provide some blankets and a brief explanation at the beginning of the trip while we’re heading to the Northwest of the City of Cusco. In the route we will pass through different towns, for example the little village of Limatambo (flowery valley) where we will ascend towards Mollepata. On the way we will stop at the Mirador de Markahuasi and we will observe its archaeological remains. Our guide will provide information while we’re we will visit the Mirador named after one of the presidents of Peru, David Samanez Ocampo. Then we arrive at Mollepata, and enjoy a delicious American breakfast in the Casa Salkantay where you can also profit from the beautiful view.

Stop At: Humantay Lake, Cusco 08002 Peru

In Mollepata we will also prepare you for the walk and we will provide walking sticks. Afterwards we will continue our journey in the Van to Soraypampa, where our guide will explain the route, flora and fauna and customs of the place. The walk to Laguna de Humantay will take an average of 1:30 minutes. There we will appreciate the beautiful scenery and the view of the snowy Humantay, crossing part of the ecosystem. Back in Soraypampa, we will board the van to return to Mollepata.
