Peruvians love to make music at home with family and friends. This is how most of us learn our music. It's called a "peña" and it's a national tradition. And this is your opportunity to experience this tradition first hand, and have a great time while doing it.

Hello, my name is Killary. I am a Peruvian singer. And I will be your host, in my home, for a real Peruvian "peña"! Along with my husband and friends, we keep alive the national tradition of "peñas" at home; and we would love you to come.

So, welcome to our home, welcome to our authentic "peña". Come make some music, come have some fun! (And the food is pretty good too, I mean, this IS Peru...)

This is a musical voyage through Perú!

In this experience, you will get to know a variety of traditional Peruvian music and try out native Peruvian instruments. All this while enjoying Peruvian food and conversation at the home of a Peruvian singer. A real Peruvian "peña", where Peruvian music is made and shared among friends!

The home is located in the traditional district of Jesus Maria, where we'll all meet and get to know each other. And just like that, we'll start to play some favorite Peruvian songs. If you wish, you'll get a chance to try out and play along with native Peruvian instruments; maybe even some that you’ve never seen before. It will be a great time of making Peruvian music.

And since making music makes you hungry, Peruvian appetizers and a home recipe for typical Peruvian chicha will add flavor to the get together.
