SALKANTAY TREK and MACHU PICCHU 5 days 4 nights
This hiking excursion is full of beautiful landscapes and visits to Humantay lagoon, Salkantay, Santa Teresa, Colcalmayo (hot springs), city of Machu Picchu (Aguas Calientes), archaeological site Machu Picchu (wonder of the modern world) and Huayna Picchu or mountain (optional).
Itinerary
Day 1: Cusco, Mollepata, Soraypampa and Laguna de Humantay.
Stop At: Montana Humantay, Cusco Peru
We will begin our adventure by picking up each passenger in their respective hotels, before embarking on a 4-hour bus tour. Halfway we will stop at Mollepata at an altitude of 2900 m for 20 or 30 minutes to rest, then we will continue with our trip directly to the last bus stop in Challacancha, where we will meet our porters and horses that will carry the equipment and We begin our hiking excursion to begin our way to Soraypampa at 3900 m. When we arrive at Soraypampa, we will install the base camp where we can enjoy the beautiful views of Salkantay snowy and where we will have a break for lunch. After lunch we will visit Humantay Lake at 3459 m, before starting the trip back to the Soraypampa base camp. Around 5:00 p.m., where our camping team will be waiting for our travelers with a delicious dinner.

Day 2: Soraypampa-HuayraPampa-Chaullay
Pass By: Salkantay Trail, Peru
Early in the morning we will have our breakfast and then start a 3-hour walk until we reach the highest point of our expedition, the Salkantay Pass (4600 masl). From there, we will walk to Wayracpunku (Huayra Pampa) for our next meal. The trip will continue towards the high jungle, where we can observe the big trees with their arms extended over the streams, all full of bromeliads and orchids. This walk will take about 5 hours to reach our camp in Chaullay (2900 masl). Where we will have dinner and spend the night.

Day 3: Chaullay, The Beach, Santa Teresa.

After breakfast at about 6.30 am, we will go to Sahuyaco (La Playa 2080 masl). We will have lunch in this place. Then we will continue our trip in our transport to Santa Teresa (1550 masl), where we will put our base camp. Next, we will have a traditional Peruvian dinner and rest well for the next day. Note: after installing the camp you can access the hot springs of Cocalmayo.

Day 4: Santa Teresa - Hydroelectric - Aguas Calientes (city of Machu Picchu)

The next morning, after a good breakfast, the bus will wait for us. Those who booked in advance will make zip line. The rest of the group will go to the Hydroelectric meeting point where the whole group will meet for lunch after the activities. After a little relaxation in this place, we will continue on foot along the train station that will lead us through this great jungle that the Incas knew by heart from our final destination: Aguas Calientes. We will walk for approximately 3 hours and you will find beautiful waterfalls, different ecological farms and possibly curious wildlife upon arrival in the region (planned arrival at 4pm). Here the group will spend the night in a hostel. In the evening we will meet in a restaurant to enjoy a great dinner and an informative session about our next excursion to Machu Picchu. Then you can visit the city, which is wonderful after sunset.

Day 5: Aguas Calientes (City of Machu Picchu), Machu Picchu, Cusco.
Pass By: Santuario Historico de Machu Picchu, Machu Picchu Peru
We prepare around 4.00 a.m. To climb Machu Picchu, the hike will follow an ascending path crossing the high jungle, just in time to see the spectacular sunrise. After passing the control entrance at about 6:00 a.m., our group will have a guided tour for about 2 hours in the Inca citadel, later the passengers will continue on their own following the line and will also be able to take photos during free time until departure. . After visiting the citadel of Machu Picchu, our passengers will return to Aguas Calientes, walk down for about 40 minutes. From here (Aguas Calientes), we will take the train back to Ollantaytambo (from 7:00 p.m. to 8:32 p.m.) to connect with the Transfer back to the city of Cuzco (from 7:00 p.m. to 10:45 p.m.).
