Your long-way travel in Bohol province wont be wasted as youll be witnessing the Chocolate Hills. These thousands of scenic hills are covered with green grass that turns cocoa-brown during dry season. Ranging from almost 1,776 at number, these geological formations are also one of the Philippines National Heritage. Open your eyes widely as youll also be seeing the Philippine Tarsier. They are found in the Tarsier Convention Area (22 minutes away from Chocolate Hills.)These animals are the smallest primates in the whole world with a tail of only 230 mm long. Get your camera and be silent taking photos of them as they might die with loud sounds that would scare them.
Visit and see the arch-alike 2-kilometer densely planted Mahogany trees along the road in the border of Loboc and Bilar town. This is the only man-made forest in the Philippines and its very stunning and clean.
And theres more! Another attraction that Bohol can boast about, and that every vacationer on this island should try and that is the floating restaurants along the Loboc River. Each floating restaurant can hold about 20-25 people each. The boat ride starts at the Loay Bridge, just 20 kilometers from Tagbilaran City. A motorboat maneuvers a large bamboo raft upstream through the Loboc River, and the buffet begins.
Some churches in Bohol are very much alive despite of years of disasters that passed. Check out the second oldest church in the Philippines, Loboc Church, that was once burned and rebuilt in 1638. Aside from its holiness, beauty is one of the reasons why many people visit this church. Baclayon church is also one of the oldest and preserved Jesuit-built churches in the region.
