Eco Food Crawl

Everybody knows or has been part of a food crawl, an exploration of a neighborhood’s food scene in order to complete a culinary quest. Whether you’re out to find the ultimate tacos, best ribs or the most authentic local cuisine, the rules of a crawl are quite simple—stay hungry and keep eating.

This tour will take you to the restaurant's in our three hotel properties around Tagaytay and Batangas. We meet up in Makati and then head to Tagaytay for the first two stops, and then catch the sunset at our Villas in Batangas. Guests can have a tour of our properties as well.

 

First we take you to Camping & Grilling for breakfast, which is located in Containers by Eco Hotel on SVD road. Containers is our second property in Tagaytay, opened only a year ago. Since then, we have been brave enough to venture into the world of food. We figured, what goes with this chilly weather better than grilled comfort food? Our selection of sticks available for ihaw-ihaw complement any drinking session.

Then we’re off to Cabins by Eco Hotel in Tagaytay, our flagship property. We have been open for four years now, but only recently opened Chinampa. This taqueria is unique, as it boasts a great view of Taal while guests enjoy favorite Mexican staples. We even offer Huevos Rancheros, a popular breakfast dish from their country.

 Our last stop, Villas by Eco Hotel in Batangas, is our premiere property offering unmatched luxury and privacy. In this intimate setting, we find Bahay Balok-Balok, which pays homage to the best of Filipino cuisine. Meals are prepared in-house using locally sourced ingredients and fresh herbs from our own herb garden. This fine dining experience is made even more special as guests are served on the sunset deck, perfectly timed as the sun disappears into Taal lake.

ITINERARY

6:30 am - Pick up/Meeting place at Spaces, Makati 

6:30-7:30 am - Travel time to Tagaytay

8:00-9:30 am - Breakfast at Containers 

9:30-10:00 am - Presentation about Cabins 

10:00 am- 12 noon - Lunch at Cabins 

12:00-1:30 - Downtime

1:30-3:00 - Travel to Batangas

3:00-6:15 pm - Sunset View and Dinner at Villas, Batangas 

6:30 - End of Tour and departure back to Manila
