Stop At: Castle Square (Plac Zamkowy), Junction ul. Miodowa and Krakowskie Przedmiescie, Warsaw Poland
The Castle Square, where we are at the moment, was formed at the beginning of the XIX century. Fragments of the defence wall were pulled down at that time altogether with the Cracow gate, which had been the main gateways from the city to South.

Pass By: King Sigismund's Column (Kolumna Zygmunta), Castle Square Old Town, Warsaw Poland
Sigismund's Column erects in the middle of the Castle Square and it is the oldest statue in Warsaw and one of the oldest in Europe.
Stop At: Zamek Krolewski w Warszawie - Muzeum, Plac Zamkowy 4, Warsaw 00-277 Poland
The facade of the Royal Castle, seen in the eastern part of the square, is a remarkable view of the most famous historical site of the Starówka (old town). The Royal Castle was not only the residence of the Mazovian pricnes, for from the beginning of the XVII century it was the second to the Crakow Wawel residence of the Polish monarchs, and for 300 years it was also a place of meetings of parliament.

The temple was erected on the turn of the XIII and XIV century. After the II world war it was rebuilt in the initial Gothic style.
Pass By: St. Mary's Church (Kosciol Najswietszej Marii Panny), ul. Przyrynek 2 New Town, Warsaw 00-219 Poland
The temple was erected in the first half of the XVII century, funded by the king Sigismund III. The church belonging to the Jesuit order, built in renaissance and baroque styles, was reconstructed due to destructions, which were caused in time of the II world war.

We welcome you in the heart of Starówka. Since times of setting up the city to the XIX century, the Old Town Market Place was the important centre of political, cultural, administrative and social life. In its history, it was the place where justice was made- for here were a pillory and a cage intended for cheaters, eg. for merchants cheating on length or weight of their goods, it was also a place of punishment for thieves and prostitutes.

Stop At: Warsaw Barbican (Barbakan Warszawski), ul. Nowomiejska, Warsaw 00-272 Poland
Barbikan was erected in 1548 by the Venetian- John Baptist. The Barbikan is the youngest element of the city walls, and it was constructed on the place, where previously was a fore gate.

Pass By: Church of the Holy Spirit, Nowomiejska 23 - Dluga 3, Warsaw Poland
The Church of the Holy Spirit of the Pauline Order. The origins of the temple reach the XIV century. Thenceforward it had been developed many times, yet during the Swedish invasion in 1655 it burnt.

The temple fulfilled the function of the insurgent hospital in 1944. In this church there are memorabilia of all leaders of National Army, placed in the temple after the II world war

The famous Field Cathedral of the Polish Army, of a magnificent baroque construction. In front of the temple, there is a bust of the pope John Paul II with the inscription informing that he was a son of a prewar officer of the Polish Army. The temple is famous for the tiny chapel of Our Lady of Katyń, where you can see 15 thousand of little plates with surnames of the murdered ones and 7 thousand with NN letters symbolising the unknown and unidentified persons who were killed in Katyń, Charków and Miednoje in 1940
Pass By: Capuchin Friars Church, Miodowa 13, Warsaw 00-246 Poland
We welcome you into the church, for the particular attention should be paid to the Royal Chapel (the second on the right from the entrance), where there is a classicist sarcophagus made of the grey marble, with the royal crown on it, where a hart of John III Sobieski rests.

This palace was owned by Isabel Branicka in the end of the XVIII century- the sister of king Stanislaus August Poniatowski.

The Church of Holy Ann This Gothic temple was erected for the Bernardine Order, funded by the widow of prince Boleslau III. After taking over the Bernardine's monastery, the church became the academic temple, and this function is fulfilled until today.

Since 1994 the Presidential Palace is the seat of the President of the Republic of Poland. This palace is of historical significance- it is here, in 1955, the Warsaw Pact was signed, in 1970, the treaty on normalisation of relations between Poland and RFN, and in 1989, in the Column Room of the Palace, the Round Table Talks were held. In 1997 the President signed the Constitution of the Republic of Poland and in 1999 he initialised the accession of Poland to NATO.

The Marshal Joseph Piłsudski Square is one of the largest squares in Warsaw. In the XVIII century it was a palace courtyard of the Saxon Palace- the residence of king August II the Strong.
