Wooden Treasuers Of The Lesser Poland

The Lesser Poland Region is full of little treasures – over 200 wooden churches are spread all over the region. Some of them are dated back to the 15th century, some of them are on the UNESCO List and all of them are unique and beautiful. They are usually situated in picturesque small villages delightfully integrated into the landscape. During one day tour you can visit the most interesting ones in Lipnica Murowana and Binarowa. Additionaly you can visit orthodox wooden churches which were inscribed to UNESCO list in 2013 (Owczary, Brunary, Kwiatoń). Both catholic and orthodox churches have unique architecture, paintings and atmosphere. Visiting those places is a great opportunity to travel around the less touristy parts of the region and admire ordinary villages spread over the hills.
