The Dão Wine Region is Portugal´s best kept secret. The region is full of castles and manor houses that give it a Bordeaux feeling. Considered by most as the Saint Emilion of Portugal, the region is perfect. Hectars of vineyards, 2 mountain ranges and the Serra da Estrela (Continental Portugal´s highest mountain range) give it a romantic feel. 

The region is home to producers since 1788 and produces the most stunning wines.

It is home to Touriga Nacional (red grape) and Encruzado (white grape).

It was a forgotten region until de 1980´s when it began to reborn. Now it is home to the traditional and modern takes on Dão Wines.

The food is also to die for! Full of stews, hearty meats and of course bacalhau and octopus.

8:00am pick up at the Hotel. Travel with car (up to 4 people) or minivan (from 5 to 6 people)

10:30am arrival at the Dão region. 

11:00am visit to the vineyards and winery with the winemaker, at a TRADITIONAL winery. Taste 4 wines with him and get to know more about this grape variety, unique in the world.

1:00pm Lunch at a local restaurant. Lunch consists of set menu of entrée, main dish and dessert, all local dishes, true Dão food. Includes water and half a bottle per person. All extra drinks are paid by the client. Please inform before if there are food restrictions or allergies.

3:00pm visit to the vineyards and winery with the winemaker, at a MODERN winery.

4:30pm Journey to Porto

6pm Arrival at the hotel
