Douro Valley Wine Tasting River Cruise and Lunch from Peso da Regua
In this tour you can feel on the skin from the splendor of the region. We will show you all the differences from the past to the present, from traditional to modern. The beautiful landscape that provides viewpoints in Peso da Regua leaves us with an open mind to explore the city which in 2001 saw its slopes awarded by UNESCO as World Heritage. Not only is the landscape blessed by wine production, but also the rhythm of life of the Douro. If the winter is marked by calm and tranquility, which seems to reflect up in their own vineyards, the transition from summer to autumn brings the bustle of harvest with a fall and rise of baskets and pruning shears on the slopes, populated by workers. This tour normally starts at 8:00am and ends at 6:00pm. All expenses are included in the price: visits, tastings and lunch.
To start our visit to the Douro Wine Region, we stopped at a magnificent view where we have a beautiful and splendid views of the Regua city and its terraces. Our visit will be a very traditional vineyard and 100% biological, where we will taste a delicious port wine. The next stop will be at Pinhao, where we will visit the magnificent train station with hand-painted tiles since 1937. Lunch will take place in a typical restaurant Portuguese, where you will have a nice meal with plenty of wonderful aromas and flavors of the region. You'll be bowled over by all the magnificent views in this area, considered by the BBC to be one of the most beautiful landscapes in the world. The next stop will be to taste olive oil, honey, red wine, rose wine, white wine, grape juice and almonds. The scenery is carved by the Douro River and its tributaries are definitely highlights that need to be seen.
