Start the tour with a visit to the city of Fatima, which celebrated this year the 100th anniversary of the visions of Our Lady of Fatima and was visited by Pope Francis for the occasion. Join pilgrims from all over the world who gather daily at the small Chapel of Santa Iria and at the Sanctuary.  Stop in the village of Batalha and see its extraordinary Gothic monastery dating back to the 14th century. Learn about how King John I of Portugal dedicated the monastery to the Virgin Mary for helping him win the Battle of Aljubarrota, fought between Spain and Portugal.

Then head towards the coast, to Nazaré, a fishing village strategically located on a very high sea cliff. Discover how this village has welcomed swimmers and pilgrims from all over who gather at the Ermida da Memória (Memory Chapel) where the statue of Our Lady of Nazaré is kept. Then continue the tour to Óbidos, a small medieval village. Explore inside the walls which are extraordinarily well preserved. This village will amaze all those who visit it, especially those who love chocolate, cherry liqueur, and literature.
